Dustin Dow tired of trip to Charlotte

Not at all. One at University is worse. I grew up going to the one in Mint Hill. It's not great, but it ain't that bad.

This one is right off 485 on Ablemarle, it was also about 11 at night… sorry but I’ve never felt threatened at the one in University, it’s just such a freaking mess all the time, and people always try to get me to buy their freestyle CDs.

u city used to be ok…but when they built all that low rent crap toward Harrisburg near 485, the area went downhill

Well, I just e-mailed Dustin and got a pretty quick response...

Dustin: "Thanks for the email. I’ve never had good fortune with traffic in Charlotte. Downtown is fine – quite nice actually – but it’s always been a bit of a pain getting out the to university. I think I found a back way in my last time there, though. So maybe my disposition will change. …

I guess Charlotte is the only city with rush hour traffic.
Maybe because a road game at Charlotte for Xavier is one of the biggest threats for a loss in conference?
I don’t think they see it that way. I’m really starting to detect some arrogance as Xavier is perched up on their pedestal. This line from an X fan on the A10 boards kind of bugs me:
Would the average program in the league be better off if XU left?

It would mean a better chance at the league title, one fewer loss, bigger fish in smaller pond kind of idea.

Would Duquense, Richmond or Charlotte have it easier if XU left?
Ho-hum. Gotta waste my time traveling to Charlotte so I can watch Xavier beat some hapless team when the outcome is never in doubt. The poor fellas might have it better off if they weren’t completely owned by X each and every year. Oh well.

This thread is exciting. I’m beginning to build hatred for xavier and their fans! YAY!

In my opinion U-City is falling behind due to the gentrification process being taken on due to the growth of the city itself.
Agreed
Its been said that when lightrail comes to the U that the areas along the lightrail will really clean up and bring in higher end shops and neighborhoods
I'm not convinced light rail will have the same effect on the Northeast Line that it had on the South Blvd Line.

I remember a couple of Cincy fans telling us we would not enjoy dealing with Xavier fans and their spoiled attitude. Their fans remind me somehat of what Davidson fans might be like if Davidson were actually a real university.
