Nickerson currently on visit at Wichita State.

Would think that are (sic) campus setting would be a nice contrast to that of UNCC. From what I recall of Charlotte it is a big commuter school - though I have not been on campus for over 20 years so it may have changed a bit.SpiderNation.com: UR Basketball Board: E. Victor Nickerson thread
Too bad for them, Nickerson HAS been on our campus more recently than 20 years ago. Jeez.
I found this but I don’t have a subscription to NBE. Can anyone see this whole article?

2k?
I don’t have a supscription either. His decision from all reports I’ve seen is coming in November.
What does their twitter feed say?
Just that a date is set and he’s down to 5 schools. I’m guessing Charlotte, Wichita State, Colorado, Richmond and Western Kentucky.
Charlotte was in Norcross today to watch Nickerson workout. Norcross has some other talent, including Alonzo Nelson, 2011 6’8 PF. I’m trying to see if we were scouting him as well.

i sure hope so
but geezy-peezy! can you even imagine being an Actual Adult having to recruit prospective basketball/football/et al. players?
(Please. Do not respond if you have not reached your 34th birthday.)
well, I’m only 23, but I can certainly see how recruiting players would be awful. I couldn’t imagine being a grown man (or woman) and kissing a kids ass for months or even years to get him to come play for me.
you are beyond your years, NN
A few days old, but interesting:
suppose to be goin to Richmond idk if I'm still goin tho"9:02 PM Sep 13th via Twitter for iPhone in reply to ShunWilliams
nice find NA. Just found out that we were looking at Alonzo Nelson as well, when we checked in on Nickerson yesterday.
per Shun Williams on twitter:
Victor Nickerson 2011 SF Norcross HS (GA) narrowed his list down: Depaul, Wichita State, Colorado and UNC Charlotte are in the mix
Take that Spiders!!!

ESPN breakdown:
Strengths: Nickerson is a multi-skilled small forward who looks the part on the floor. He has tremendous length and good ball-handling skills that allow him to help your team in several ways. With his handle you can run your offense through him knowing that he is very capable of using his dribble to improve angles to the post or dribble hand-offs. He is a good passer with vision of the floor and an understanding of when to get guys the ball. Although scoring is not his forte' he is more than capable of stepping behind the arc to knock down a 3 or driving the ball inside the arc for a pull-up jump shot. Weaknesses: The first thing that comes to mind is Nickerson's lack of strength and aggressiveness. He his more than capable of producing in a game, but on more occasions than not he will disappear for long stretches. With his lack of physicality he struggles to rebound on the defensive end as well as defending his position. Many times you watch him thinking he lacks that instinct to dominate his position. With his skill level being what it is he needs to become a much more consistent perimeter shooter to off-set his inability to guard 10' and in. Bottom Line: Nickerson is a multi-dimensional small forward who could easily blossom into a very good four year college player. Once he hits his campus and dedicates himself to the weight room you will see him transform in front of your eyes. His basketball IQ and feel for the game will help him until his body catches up.
New story up at Rivals on his visits thus far (Charlotte & Wichita St) and two more to come. He comments on Charlotte campus and facilities compared to Wichita St.
visits Depaul this weekend.
From the Wichita board:
"With Charlotte, I thought they had a great campus and I got along with the coaching staff there real well," said Nickerson, a Rivals150 member. "I bonded with their players. So everything there was pretty good. "And with Wichita State, it was pretty much the same thing. I did feel like Charlotte's campus was a little bit better, but the facilities at Wichita State were better.
