E. Victor Nickerson, SF, Georgia Stars- A long and athletic wing, Nickerson is coming on fast as a prospect and could make a push for the next edition of the Rivals150. He attacks the rim, has improved as a jump shooter and plays with a high activity level on both ends of the floor.

We need a Initial.Name guy on this roster. It has been a hole in this roster for far too long.

Lol Vick Nickerson… that’s pretty damn cool.

He has a midrange jumper and sets up teammates well. Good bball IQ and smooth player. Sounds interesting.

Evaluation September, 2009: This lefty shows signs of being an elite member of his class, but has yet to put everything together. Nickerson is a very smooth player who has excellent ball skills for someone his size while possessing a strong mid-range jump shot. He's best suited for an up-tempo game with an ability to handle with either hand in transition and finish with both. A good passer, Nickerson shows an excellent knowledge of the game. He is very capable of creating for a teammate and has a canny ability to find open guys for easy baskets. He is an average rebounder who knows how to get to balls on the offensive end of the floor. The only factors holding him back from being a high level player is his laid back mentality and a need to add some muscle to his long frame. Once the young forward learns to play with a fire at all times high major schools will be visiting Norcross High School.

Evan Turner clone?

Also, Va Tech was recruiting him back in Oct. 2008, so I’m guessing Odom has a pretty good relationship with Nickerson.

Sounds an awful lot like it.

This guy really catches my attention. He seems extra athletic with broad shoulders that could help him defend. I want good athletes that can slash and make plays. I also want guards that can pressure the ball defensively and force turnovers. All the best teams have the best guard play. Don’t get me wrong we need an inside game also, but you can’t have enough good guards.

Offer this guy now!!

#86 in ESPN’s new Top 100 ranking for 2011 class.

With that name he could also double as SCK’s rent collector.

he discusses charlotte on ninerreport.

This kid seems like he would be a good get for us.

agreed. this kid is exactly what we need. he is a tall, long, athletic wing who can shoot the three.

Rivals has him now as a 3 star, #113 overall in the class.

recent blurb on Scout.com

Victor Nickerson, SF – He’s a late bloomer that exploded on the scene in Los Angeles a month ago, but Victor will be a guy to watch in July. The jumper was steady and he was knocking it down on mid-range pull-ups and a bit from deep. He also showed a sound basketball IQ and picked up things very quickly, often running drills at full speed in a moment’s notice. Loved his intensity as a help defender in the two-on-two drills. While others stood and watched as their teammate got beaten, Victor did the best he could not to lose on any possession and came up with some deflections and blocks using his active hands.

Victor Nickerson: We've apparently undervalued Nickerson quite a bit. He was one of the more effective players in the entire camp. He plays hard at all times and always seems to find a way to score the baketball. He's got a good shot and showed some ability to hit the mid-range pull-up. He doesn't have freakish athleticism, but he does have good size and he just simply gets the job done. Nickerson should have no shortage of high-majors to choose from after the July evaluation period.
