Brian Dawkins to come in for the pregame speech this last Saturday is sick!!
Im more pumped for the season seeing this first episode. It wasnt 100% on par with the HBO production quality, but I think it is very well done. The coaches and athletes all present themselves really well and make me proud to be a niner. Jones comes across as a true leader with his interviews.

I wish ESPN would play the series on ESPNU or ESPN News to draw in more casual fans. I had to search in the ESPN+ app to locate the show.

I loved it, even if they got the Maryland game date wrong at the end. I did not know Wall’s story and Biff getting him out of a factory job to come play for us. That kid has a new fan here.
I watched a NOVA series called THE TRUTH ABOUT FAT that everyone should watch, including our doctors. Wall matches some of the people in that documentary that are predisposed to carrying the extra pounds. It’s not because of life choices. They are making good progress on scientifically helping people who need it. Unfortunately, most doctors these days would probably still give him advice like the extra weight is only because of lifestyle and diet.
When you see a big man like him working in full pads in the summer heat, and running stairs, it should be admired. He is a strong kid and hopefully becomes our immovable Nose. He also seems to be a really good dude. I am happy he is a Niner.

I really enjoyed that story about Big Wall too. When Biff was putting together this big class it did seem like a few of these guys had gaps in their recent play history and he was one of them. Reminded me of DuBose working at Wal Mart before he caught on here. Love those stories.
