EVH Memorial Thread for All Things Music šŸŽ¶

Posting about LLMF here too:

Dang, looks like REO Speedwagon broke up. Seen them twice and both were good shows. I don’t think it was age related, more that some people couldn’t get along. Actually, surprised that type of thing hadn’t happened sooner.

Kevin Cronin will carry on performing all things REO:

Have seen them twice too - with and without Cronin as front man.

Really miss guitarist Gary Richrath. Hard to believe it’s almost been a decade. May he RIP. :guitar:

REO performing "Golden Country:

Thanks for the info. Looks like it will will still be REO, just not called REO for legal reason I presume. Anyway, looks like they will make a local, to me, appearence as well. I saw REO in Charlotte two years ago, also with Styx. Great concert, although getting out of PNC Pavillion sucked.

Saw Rilo Kiley is getting back together for a US tour ahead of a festival they are going to play. Underrated band fronted by Jenny Lewis. I actually saw them open at PNC / Blockbuster / whatever it’s called, opening for Coldplay… I was way more into them than Chris Martin & company.

Anyway, not sure if they are going to add a Charlotte date but if they do, would be worth checking out. Might not get another chance.

And speaking of French musicians, Gojira beat out metal titans Judas Priest and Metallica for their jaw dropping performance at the Paris Olympics:

That’s quite a show with just Sabbath and Ozzy. One last ride with the ā€œPrince of Darknessā€ and friends on the crazy train!
