Charlotte Meck averages 78,000 911 calls per month. It is unrealistic to believe they can send out officiers to every call that is a hang up. When they called back there were no indications of trouble when he answered. It sounds like a cold and calculated situation.
A 911 operator is a tough position without all the bogus calls they field daily. I am sure this operator will have to deal with this on a personal level. Firing or sueing everyone involved will not change this tradegy.

Should he say "I'm sorry"?
Would it matter? Its not going to help her family if he apologizes.
For me ā I think my faith just works in a more eternal way - I think this man will āpayā eternally after he leaves this place - no matter what happens here. I guess I sound like a ācheese ballā but I believe there is more to it.
I am left speechless by seeing these things happen. I just wish somehow he learns to feel like Galvinās Father/Mother/Friends feel - and understands that he was the cause.
Who knowsā¦I think I am going to stop thinking about it. I just get angry.
Life is too short. I hope her family is able to heal the wounds and return to normalcy. Jealous and pshychotic jilted lovers rarely seem to stop before they cause a tragedy. Pick the people in your life carefully, and donāt ever be too proud to run away from a dangerous situation.
I dont really like the death penalty. It just seems like such an easy way out. Its not even something bad. You just go to sleep and donāt wake up. I know they say that the prisoners would usually rather stay alive, but I think they should stay alive and have to do something. Some kind of work or something rather than just getting an easy ass death like that. The victim was never given that luxury.
I guess the defense attorney thought his defense strategy was more credible than the Chewbacca Defense!
Cochran ā¦ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Gerald Broflovski ⦠D*** it!.. Heās using the Chewbacca defense!
Cochranā¦ Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. Iām a lawyer defending a major record company, and Iām talkinā about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when youāre in that jury room deliberatinā and conjugatinā the Emancipation Proclamation, [approaches and softens] does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.
ā the dude will fry⦠imo!!! but he has his day in court. If he āisā innocent⦠he made himself LOOK REAL GUILTY!!!
This defense just worked for a dentist in Clemmons who murdered his wife. I guess after he beat the hell out of his wife and she tried to defend herself from further attack, the killing was then justified?

What is briefly mentioned in the one article is that this guy originally said that he had nothing to do with the killing. Once it was known conclusively that he did do it, THEN he railed āself defenseā. The jury bought it, and he gets rid of his wife and gets to live happily with his girlfriend now.
Damn they need intelligence tests for juries. How is it self-defense if 1st you said you didnāt do it? How is it self-defense if you made threats in the past? And they knew you were cheating? I canāt believe the son sold out.
I hope the jury for this guy locally gets stacked with 49er grads who want to fry his a55.
