FWIW, Henry’s previous coaching stop didn’t end well after glowing remarks upon his hire in April 2021:

Adelaide 36ers chairman and owner, Grant Kelley announced Henry’s hiring in a prepared release by saying, “Conner’s passion, dedication, positivity and drive to succeed has made him the perfect fit for where we are wanting to drive the club.”

And that “perfect fit” apparently not so perfect a year+ later in August 2021:

The Adelaide 36ers have today released Conner Henry from the final year of his coaching contract, effective immediately.

With preseason training yet to begin, and plans forming for the upcoming 2021-22 NBL Season it was determined that Coach Henry’s direction and that of the Club were not ideally matched and the decision to release the coach was made accordingly.
