The new finalized budget includes the money for the Uptown Classroom Building in its entirety as well as over $5 million to distribute across the UNC system for the recruitment and retention of professors.

Awesome. This would be a great addition to Charlotte. To have this type facility in the heart of Charlotte will be a great addition to the business community.

I think they’ll have to hold a vote in House, then Senate, then the gov. will sign it.

Looks really good for Charlotte, other NC universities, and education in general. I’m pretty impressed with this, noting that state tax will actually decrease slightly. That’s good work by the state legislature…

Love him or hate him, House Speaker Jim Black consistently brings it home for UNC Charlotte.
