Fire Mike Hill

The guy has been horrible for revenue sports. I personally think he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and it’s been intentional. The hires are so objectively bad it’s hard to believe otherwise.

Even if he isn’t, then he’s completely inept. He can’t be in charge of our program. Raises ticket prices in Halton the year we try to build some momentum? The botched football hires. Sanchez hire and extensions? The guy either clearly doesn’t get it or it’s much worse and he’s acting intentionally to harm us. He is a Tar Heel after all.

We need to move on. We need someone who will put our revenue sports first and Charlotte first.

Fire Mike Hill.

That starts with making our voices heard. Social media, and letting gaber know

Within the next year we will find out how serious the chancellor is about sports. Mike Hill can’t be around to hire the next revenue sport coach.

You are an idiot for this statement alone. Pure and simple if you think there was or is some deep rooted conspiracy to hire someone to tank the sports programs it makes you either a blatant moron or drunk/high.

Yep, no conspiracy. So Hill didn’t want to stick around in the Upstate where he grew up and attend Clemson, where his father was a faculty member. Not the only person who’s made such a decision. Geez!

Why can he make good sensible hires for Olympic sports and mind blowingly bad hires for revenue sports?

As in hires that have no rational nexus to logic or reality at all?

You can’t answer that, because it can’t be explained.

Guess I’m an idiot, lol.

So because he made failed hires that proves a conspiracy?

I merely said if you actually believe that then you might be an idiot.

Funny you mention no national nexus, I do recall two of his hires being stated by respected coaches and media members as being great moves. They don’t work out, which makes them bad but don’t try to revise what was said at the time, into what fits your agenda.

How about he has bad intuition and poor judgement when selecting revenue sports coaches? Incompetence over conspiracy.

Mike is 0-2 for football hires and 0-1 for basketball. And our basketball coach quit. Don’t forget Mike Houston situation either.

I mean I dont like chapel hill but I really doubt Mike Hill is some sleeper agent sent by them to destroy this program. These failed hires to me so far scream “Bad MBA hire that destroyed Boeing” type of thing. But Poggi just needs to get five more wins to help hill out with his hiring record.

Well that was a giant middle finger to his detractors.

Did SoCar come sniffing?

I guess Gaber doesn’t care about revenue sports.

Neither do most of our alums so it’s fitting

Gaber has spoken. She doesn’t care about athletics. Is what it is. I’m out.

Well if he’s here for another 4 years he needs to find a way to raise money. Im way more concerned about that than coaching hires. If you have deep pockets you can fix the coaching, if you are constantly working with a compromised budget and we are at the bottom of the aac then it’s going to be tough. Go find some money that is from new sources.

That’s what my reply to Hunter was about. I could forgive the lack of on the field standards if Mike was killing it in fundraising, but he isn’t. That’s why this is so damn perplexing.

Nothing said in this next tweet inaccurate:

Imagine making this announcement if we lost yesterday. :grimacing:
