Fire Ron Sanchez

I think it is based on the offset. We owe the base and that is offset by almost any job involving college basketball. The UVA assistants makes around 350k. If he ends up taking another role as a high assistant we could get out fairly cheap.

You are right though, cant bank on that. Have a feeling though we wouldn’t have to payout as much as it sounds. If Mike is ready to move on from him I dont think money will be a road block.

Our basketball program is on life support. Without basketball having had some success and gotten us hooked, I’m not sure football ever happens. We have pretty much thrown away that program.

I don’t see how we come back from another year or 2 of this without an injection of hope.

I have no clue of his record but if it’s good and he’s local he should be interviewed. Lutz came from a lower division and look what he did.

Leave no stone unturned.

Surely Bennett would take him back if there is an opening.

I mean he sent his son to Charlotte to be coached by the man. They must be VERY tight.

On this board, leave no coach unstoned

Agree 100%. We’re approaching the point where not firing him is going to cost the AD more than firing him. Can they really afford to lose all of their fans.

apparently, I haven’t missed much

They should carve in stone here; give us your pessimism, your hate for coaches that work here, your unwillingness to cheer for our teams or go to games, etc etc.

Not happy with current results either but will wait till season is over to see how we end up. I trust Hill to do what is needed.

I have waited long enough for basketball. That is all

It’s interesting how our defensive guru head coach keeps getting blown out by really bad teams. The WKU game was a disaster. He needs to go.

Why are you even wasting your time on this board if you hate the program so much? I can guarantee you will not be missed as a fan with an attitude of wanting us to lose.

I absolutely LOVE the program. I love the program too much to let it turn into sh!t. If you are ok with it being sh!t and continuing to be sh!t…then I question your love for the program.

I am certainly more of a fan of this program than anyone who is ok with where the state of the program is today under Sanchez.

He’s looking at another .500 season and .500 Conference slate in a Conference we should be dominating. After 4yrs…that is who he is and yet he still remains employed.

If a few more losses is what gets him outta here ASAP…that’s what I’m pulling for.

As should anyone that wants what’s best for the program.

People cant get it through their thick skulls that wanting us to lose is because you want to guarantee change. They are never going to get it. Its not reductive enough.

I think the thing is - it doesn’t matter what we want. The kids are going to play.

What you cant understand is that of our coach fugures it out, we win. If he doesnt, we get a new one and hipefully win. But the one thing that doesnt change is i pull for my damn Niners.

That isn’t a guarantee is it… we are seeing that with West on the football side, Sanchez can ā€œfigure it outā€ enough to get to 16-18 wins and Hill keeps him around… that’s not good for the program… I don’t know why this is so hard for people to understand.

West isnt the DC today. Can you not get that?

Never seen a Head coach get demoted to a free throw shooter specialist.

You guys need help

Fire Sanchez! But I am glad we won on a special 1977 Lee Rose GameDay. I would love to be wrong about Sanchez, but I not. Still, good win today.

Marshall is bad. We throttled a bad team. That is good. It also shows what this team is capable of. I actually think games like this could be a bigger indictment on Ron. It shows what we can do. It’s up to him to get the team playing with this urgency every game. If not then he’s out.

I feel the same. It’s felt like we have the talent and it’s nice to see it bubble up to the top, but why are we not producing that on a more consistent basis?
