Noon kickoffs are not ideal, but you’ll have 1-2 every year regardless. As a student I do understand the lack of enthusiasm. I go to most every sporting event I can on campus, but many students this season after the FAU it seemed became disinterested. Factor in the flood from the story of Noah’s Ark happening in that game, and the Temple game and it becomes easy just to tailgate…and just stay at the tailgate.
However, I think more wins=more students at the games. The incentives for students with pick ax points is pretty good with the ability to win prizes when you get a certain number of points, certainly makes me more excited to go to a volleyball game.
In 2016, the Niners will be better than 2-10 and I think as they continue to improve you’ll see bigger crowds of students coming, and actually staying…unlike the greek life who peaced out in the 2nd quarter of every game regardless of the score lol
I’m much more annoyed with the streams of kids leaving the student tailgate away from The Rich before the gamethan the ones that leave when we’re down three touchdowns at halftime.
I agree, that irritates me too.
I doubt they leave when we host national powerhouses like UNC-CHeat and UNC-Tweetsie.

They probably won’t, but the UNCC game is 8-9 years away lol
We play UNC Boone in 2018 though and that’s not to far away in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully we’ll have a solid squad together by then with a stadium that can hold a few more people and look a little more impressive on TV. Is that to much to ask?
I was talking about UNCCH game. Thought I had added the -H. 2018 is not far away at all and truthfully by then I expect us to be much more established than we are now. I’d assume the stadium would be expanded by then or by 2019.
Not too much to ask at all.

No, it is not too much to ask. Of course, there’s a big difference in asking for something and getting what you asked for.
Judy said she was able to get us football in a time frame of only TWENTY YEARS. Hopefully, she can get the stadium expanded in half that time.

Hopefully we can, but it doesn’t seem like they have a true concrete plan for the expansion of the stadium. I’d like to think it’ll come within the next 5-7 years. Maybe not to 40,000+, but expand it to maybe 20K-25K if that’s possible.

I think they do have a plan. They just aren’t sharing it with any of us. I dont see how we sign some of the deals we have without showing them here is what we will have you come to town.
I think I saw someone say in the shoutbox that itsbraille has a FOIA request in for emails relating to expansion plans…so we might know something whenever that request is fulfilled.

I hope we are at least showing these stadium expansion plans to recruits.

I don’t know why we wouldn’t be. A simple Google search brings up images of our expanded stadium.

Here is an article about Apps premium seating for comparison purposes.
Cash bar… On campus… That’s illegal in NC.
I think the law is technically written that you can sell alcoholic beverages in a separate, controlled area. They have to be served by a professional caterer or bartender with liability insurance, so outsourcing it to a third party may be the loophole that makes it legal.
They sell alcohol in the premium blue zone at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill.
