Coach Doh did alright although if he said āball screenā one more time i was going to scream. Actually, he knew his stuff on Charlotte, but seemed less prepared with Memphis. Therefore, when Memphis had the ball he talked alot on how to beat the Charlotte D and reverse when we had the ball on how to stop Charlotteā¦ he didnt have much insight on Memphis. He definitley looked at the game as X and Oās and was better than Tom Apke(?) for sure.
I actually grew up in a Notre Dame household, so my father got me on the Doh as a good coach bandwagon. I never knew he was from Chapel Hill until he got that particular job. Get a grip.

I taped the game on C-SET and watched it after I got to try to calm down from the exciting game. I basically really liked the announcing job of this game, which was MUCH more professional and more knowledgably done than the early C-SET games.
I agree with Apex that both guys really were much more familiar with the Niners than with the Tigers, which was a very nice change of pace, given who was paying them.
My major frustration was after Plavichās hafltime buzzer beater, both guys seemed to think he didnāt get the shot off. Then they showed a replay, and Doh said the shot was clearly good, but the other guy intimated that the only reason he got it off was because of the homer shot clock timer.
My final comment is that after watching the game on tape, it was more clear to me that the bad calls (of which there were many) went fairly evenly both ways. From my seats at game, I thought the bad calls/no calls went in Memphisā favor 2:1, but with different camera angles, things evened out.

[/b]Some of my earliest memories are going to the Coors Events Center in Boulder, CO with my dad and watching Tom Apke's Colorado Buffaloes struggle through ten win seasons. He love to slow down the ball with Herb Syndek like fervor. So I can't speak much on his coaching ability, because I was under ten years old, but he was a proven loser. Later he went to Ap State and did nothing much there. Forgive me, I know this is a Dougherty thread(I like Matt okay), but I saw Apke's name and had to throw my two pennies in. Now give me back my change!
