Did anyone ever find out why Price said we’ve added 5 new players this year
when 6 have signed LOI’s ?
I’m beginning to think that we lost Watson. All of the pics on social media are of Haslem, Supica, Thomas & McGill. The telling thing for me is that the LOI announcement on the charlotte49ers website appears to be gone. I know it was there about a month ago because I looked at it.
i was worried that maybe we lost vasic. that would have really upset me. i was a bit higher on watson than most because i felt like he filled a role but he should be replaceable. if he is indeed gone, i wonder what the staff does.
As late as April, Watson was talking about how excited he was to be joining the team. I would think no one will be redshirted now. I’m still worried about Vasic simply because he does not appear to be on campus yet and I could not find him listed on the Serbian National Team roster.
Well I hope this is a resolvable issue (which knowing us I’m sure it isn’t).
Watson looked to be a Kelvin Price type warrior…maybe not his all round talent and IQ, but
a beast on the boards and a finisher.

2K mentioned in the shoutbox that Vasic did not make the final cut for the Serbian National Team. Knowing this eased some of my worries.
Guess that narrows it down to DeVarte then.
According to Watsons instagram, he is still very much a nine and he just received his degree from Cape fear

That’s good news! We don’t need to lose anyone from our recruiting class. I’m pretty optimistic this will be the year we turn the corner with better rebounding and defense.

Hoping Najee can step it up…he has the talent.
