I think the deal with Blakely is heās not very good.

I concur
I actually prefer the students where they were.
I think itāll be better when itās packed. If itās ever packed againā¦
Their freshman forward Matt Rafferty looks like heās going to be a handful at 6-8. Shoots well, rebounds well.
I see that their 6-9 center is currently shooting 14.3 % from the FT line. I hope we are game planning accordingly.
Hopefully we can get our first win
Id like to see a starting lineup of:
Braxton
Andrien
Vanhook
Sullivan
Uchebo
I think Benas should come off the bench and I also think Blakely should play some heās long and has shown he can block some shots in past games, however he wont help rebounding much.
I think this needs to be the starting 5 too. You can probably interchange White and Camidge.
A part of me wonders though, if we need to have Vanhook come off of the bench, for rebounding while the starters rest.
If we can eventually get any type of rebounding and defense, from Benas and Aube, I think we need to be starting Uchebo and Sullivan together.

Well there is one way to pack Halton just schedule our old conference USA rivals and i think the last time we had an espn game on campus was in 2011 vs Xavier on a thursday night i was at the game only there were 6,378 people there but it was loud and when Halton is full omg its very very loud some people are surprised by how loud Halton can get
Ive been to tons of games at Halton the last great win we have had was in 2005 when we beat Cincinnati 91-90

Iāve been arguing this for years. My OOC schedule would look like Cincinatti, Louisville, Memphis, Richmond George Washington, Davidson, throw in some beatable regional p5 teams and maybe 2 cupcakes from local schools like App or ECU.
Speaking of which, everyone fill this out - http://knowrivalry.com/rivalry-survey.php for basketball. I am really excited to see what the results are, who see us as rivals, etc. when the data comes out.

2 potential flaws in your thinking.
-
Those guys have to agree to come to Halton and Iām not sure why Louisville or Cincy would.
-
and more importantly- weāre the frigginā cupcakes now

Well yes, of course, but Iād play on the rd if I had to. Iād rather see us playing on the rd vs Louisville even if it means less home games. Some may disagree and thatās fine because itās not a right or wrong issue. Itās just to me Iād rather see us maintain playing against them even if it means on the rd and most likely losing than a plethora of games against teams I donāt really care about.
I do think this yearās OOC schedule is good though.

youāre correct it wouldnāt but I do wish we would adopt the anytime/anywhere mentality of scheduling
Addendum- letās wait until we can actually compete with decent teams though

I wasnāt necessarily addressing that. Winning, branding, and bringing in bigger names will address the home atmosphere; but thatās all been addressed before. Of course, bringing in bigger names is all dependent upon winning. I was just saying, from a purely selfish perspective thatās who I want to see us play.

Exactly. Even if we get beat down a lot, Iād rather be known for playing a lot of good teams than for scheduling soft games that donāt matter like the rest of CUSA. Itās just personal preference.
Current Line: Charlotte +2.5 :-X
Winning solves everything.
Speaking of road games
Rodney White and Demon Brown first game together at ncsu, we pounded them by 25.
What a drive home.
Thatās the kinda kids we gotta have.

Yep. Easily the best and deepest Niner team Iāve ever had the pleasure of watching.

You think? I liked the Withers/Basden bunch a lot too
āMBB - Junior forward Anthony Vanhook will not play in the Furman game due to a concussion.ā

Withers/Basden was solidā¦but in my opinion, there is no way to match our top 4 scoring options of Rodney White, Jobey Thomas, Demon Brown and Diego. We have NEVER had a team with 4 better scorers. Each one of those guys would have been option #1 on any other Niner team. Plus, you had Cam Stephens in the middleā¦a rebounding machine. James Zimmerman, one of my favorite glue guy/6th man type player. Thatās a stout top 6.
Then the bench was not stellar but very solid: Kenkay Jones (rebounding and defense), Dee Tolliver (another shooter), Butter (before he became a head case), Jermaine Williams (good size/rebounding)and Tory Reedā¦and MATAS!!!
Gotta admitā¦most of those bench guys were contributors too.
I just think itās the most all around talented and deepest team Iāve seen in person.
