Future 49er Football Schedules šŸ“…

Hopefully Navy is on the back side of schedule so I can pull chapel hill and Annapolis

Man that’s a tough sechedule next year, I was looking at some of the other AAC schedules from this year, we are one of the few that play two P5 schools in non conference, I guess we need the money but sure does make it harder to have a good non conference record… hope we aren’t 1-3 again…

We really only get money from one.

We do two so we have a money game and another as part of a home and home do we can have an attractive home schedule.

It’s a bold strategy for achieving bowl eligibility, especially for a program that hasn’t had a lot of success, but it is nice having a big name team as a home game. That to me is more interesting than a bowl game anyway.

Yup beating a Chapel Hill/State/Ole Miss at home could be transformational. The same can’t be said for getting 6 wins.

We got 6 wins before. Did not FEEL transformational.

Upsetting one team isn’t transformational. Consistently, winning games encourages fans to keep coming back.

Half of the reason I want a bowl game is to get a shot at a high profile team. That’s why I was so underwhelmed by CUSAs bowl tie ins.

Getting a high profile / local rivalry team (like CHeat) in our house in a competitive game is better than a typical pre Xmas bowl game IMHO.

We need both. Winning consistently is important as it says we don’t suck, but at some point you have to have a program defining win to get past your core audience.

App wins FCS titles and no one cares besides App people. They rode their Michigan win to relevance and are still riding that win from 20 yrs ago.

If we beat chapel hill then lose the next 4 games it won’t matter. Beat the heels and then win the league and now we are taking.

I’m having a premonition that on Saturday September 7, 2024, a hurricane, or remnants thereof, will be making its way across our state, and our scheduled football game that afternoon will have to be canceled.
It’s weird I know, but I can’t shake the feeling that’s how it will play out. :flushed:

I had a CH fan ask me yesterday if our game next yr was going to be on BOA stadium. He thinks if the holes are in Charlotte that it should be in BOA

And we know CHeat fans are the authority on sports and not just some fairweather goober who has been to a Walmart before.

I always asks these types what year they graduated. That usually ends the conversation.

Also Georgia. Apparently there are tons of people who love Georgia who did not go there.

I wonder why???

clt says you can also ask them about their dorms.
