Per bballfanatic, DeVoe will be on an unofficial here this weekend. Plays HS at Shelby and has played with Forrest City Heat on the AAU scene last season.
I saw this kid totally torch Clay Byrd a guard that has signed with UNCG in the playoffs this season. This kid is a great athlete and can really shoot the ball from deep. Heck of a player!! This would be an awesome get!
Doesn’t seem to have amazing athleticism, but the kid has a damn good stroke. Looks like he has an old man’s game, floaters, uses his body in traffic well, plays angles well. Also, looks like he has really good length. Arms appear unusually long.
Devoe has been featured previously on the Phenom Hoop Report as a true student athlete and model citizen, however this game on the court speaks loud and clear. He is a strong and physically mature player that is gaining an impressive resume as a player. Devoe plays with a high and aggressive motor on the court and does a beautiful job of balancing out his passer friendly attitude and his ability to take his man off the dribble. He is in full attack mode on both ends of the court and should be a no miss candidate for mid majors schools in the region. In camp settings, defense is usually not a high priority but Devoe didn’t take any plays off on either end. His college ready frame and high skill set will make his a high priority this evaluation period.

RT @JustinDYoung: Gabe Devoe of Team Heat ended April just as good as he started it. Been one of the top producing/winning guards in the South this spring.
