Very successful day for the A10 on Saturday. I’ll take 5-1 any day. We are now 11-4 as a conference, with Richmond accountable for 2 of the losses.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is that we should probably be 13-2, given the competition. And tougher games are now coming up for most of the teams.

Still, if that 73.3% win percentage can hold up for the next 2 months, we’ll be in great shape as a league.

I wouldn’t! Norfolk State is bad…very bad. No A10 team should lose to them, especially not one that played strong against Memphis a couple days ago. The conference should have been heavily favored in the other games as well. A split in the two games today can make up for yesterday.

If you’re curious about the conference win pace (like i am), you can check out this post I’m working on:

Weren’t these guys crowing over on the HPU board about how bad ass they are? 7 point win against a D-2 team? Did they not see all the other exhibitions that bigger schools played, I guess losing those 3 guys is worse then they thought it would be.

That is phenomenal. I’m quite sure you’re a geek for doing it, and I am a bigger geek for following it. But it’s fantastic. That will be fun to watch.

UR really chocked in that game against Norfolk State. Up 54-43 with 14:21 left in 2nd half and 67-60 with 3:53 left. Then Norfolk State closed the game on a 12-2 run, with the tying basket coming with 24 seconds left, followed by a UR turnover, which set up the winning shot with less than a second on the clock.
