Looks like it was January 22nd, 1992. an 82-80 overtime win over Johnson C. Smith, a month after beating Chaminade 110-77 in the Kauai Classic finals.

There could have been more if teams have since moved from Division II to Division I, which I didn’t feel like looking up.

as always…thanks braille for keeping up with these threads.

in case anyone is wondering, yes, the score is reversed and, yes, UNC-A did beat Bluebird (or whatever)

As I said in shoutbox last night, Mike Jarvis at FAU has a really good player in Pablo Bertoni… he is highly reminiscent of Manu Ginobili. They also have a nother decent shooter named Parr (IIRC). They play 2-3 zone and are not a good defensive team, which is why Deapul beat them. Their games seem to go the same way - they get an early lead as Bertoni goes off, the other team adjusts, pounds it inside, and wins. Bertoni is worth watching though - he is much quicker and more athletic than he looks, and he’s a really smart player. He knows how to position himself and move to maximize his opportunities.
