This is huge for us…
If we win I can easily see us getting a bye in the A-10 tourney, but if not it does not look good at all.
…0-27
after last year, i didnt think it could get worse. Thank you fordham women for proving me wrong
0-27 is correct. In my last game, I'd be shooting granny style free throws and shooting from half court. 0 wins!!!! Wonder what their home crowd is like?
If I see their box scores correctly that puts them at 32 straight losses.
That’s gotta hurt.

Mathematically we could, but does anyone really think we deserve one?
Sure they do EE!
Difficult, but not impossible to win 4 in 4 days. But the scenario wouldn’t be much easier anyway. Play #5 seed, then the #1 seed and then take your chances in the title game. It’s matchups in execution in tourney play.

484 butts in the seats according to their website. Cathy Andruzzi had some nice coaching credentials coming in, but I’m not sure she can hang around with a 3-52 record (currently).
NJ Tech’s winless season in men’s hoops cost the Highlanders’ coach his job.

I wonder what his next job will be. He will have to give a great interview to get a job. Better be prepared to blame it all on the talent he had to work with and how it wasn’t his fault. Imagine the fans of the school that hire him. “Yes, we landed a top notch coach that won 0 games last year.”

Actually, he seemed like a pretty successful coach prior to the NJIT gig.
BTW, it didn’t take Anthony Solomon long to land another job after he was cut loose by Bona.

URI continues it’s NCAA self-destruction…
Since all the A-10 teams have beat up on each other in conference, how many teams can we expect to make the NCAA tournament? Xavier is a lock but if they win the A-10 tournament could the A-10 be a one-bid league? That would be pretty disappointing considering how well the league performed in the non-conference.
I think we get 3 plus a possible 4th (darkhorse A10 tournament champion). We were in such great shape to get more but the collapse of Dayton and URI has really hurt. Dayton mathematically could get back in the picture if they win out to finish 8-8 and then make a decent showing in the A10 tournament, but otherwise… ugh
Right now, I’d say we get: X, St Joe’s & UMass. But the latter two have to finish strong to ensure a bid.

Since all the A-10 teams have beat up on eachother, we may be calling the NIT the A-10 Tournament Round 2

There will be only 2 A-10 teams in the NIT, at most. After the one-bid league regular season champs who get in because they didn’t win their conference tourney, the NIT will have a distinctly ACC, Big East, and SEC flavor.
