Goldwire's Green Light???

Does anyone know how Lutz can give a green light to LG to shoot 10 times in only 18 minutes when we have many more options available? Were these open shots, penetration opportunities…what???

I’d say the lack of a green light is what got him only 18min. He forced 2-3 of his shots bu the bulk of them were decent looks. He missed 2-3 wide open 3ptrs and forced 2 that I remember.

He also missed a layup (over their shot-blocker), a tear drop runner (over their shot blocker) and a cross over pull up jumper from the free throw lin (his feet slipped as he went for his shot). These 3 shots were good looks but didn’t go for the reasons stated.

He did force his Offense enough that his PT got cut…but it’s not like he was jacking up fade away hook shots every time down the court either.

I did like seeing him go to the basket. Mitch finally did some more of it too. Lee didn’t hit any of his interior shots, but all but 1 were pretty decent looks or layups. And one of his layups was followed by Withers and Nance both crashing hard for an easy tip back basket. I will take a bunch of missed layups over missed 3’s anyday. Horrible night on the stat sheet for Lee, but he really wasn’t playing dumb, he was taking good shots for hte most part, just not falling.

Leemire got pulled quickly after he jacked up one of those threes before the offense was set (i.e. no rebounders). Lutz pulled Mitch off the bench quickly when he heaved that one. The other shots weren’t bad looks.
