Golf team going to the East Regional

Well, common thought was that the back 9 was more difficult, but looking at this, the front 9 is harder.

Chevee, good find on the hole stats. It DOES appear that the back nine is easier. DiBitetto needs to show his senior leadership and pick up his game in the home stretch. Of course, there are several days left and he will. Regards, Oldniner

49ers are in ninth place with a score of +8, 296.

Careful, they are only 4 shots back after 2 rounds. We are gonna make a charge tomorrow since we took the gas coming home today. regards, Oldniner

I think we can feel pretty safe to retain 6th place alone after today’s round. A few decent teams are still on the course, but most of the teams within 3 shots are finished for the day. I would be surprised if we aren’t in sole possession of 6th heading into tomorrow’s round. Go get 'em 9ers!!! Oldniner

Looking at the other regions, assuming the talent of teams was spread relatively evenly, I think the the west might be the easiest course, everyone is doing really well. The central seems to be the hardest, +27 gets you in the top 10.

It’s hard to tell because our regional has 9 top 25’s. Which equates out to around the same # of top teams in each regional. I know Ga Tech & GA are up near the top, I guess it depends on the quality of the teams after the top tier teams. I have 2 goals for this reqional 1) Make the top 10 to go to the National Collegiate Championship and 2) beat the Tarholes. It would be sweet to beat Duke, too. That is a tall order, but it can be done. I would love to be low team in the Carolinas. Regards, Oldniner
