New CUSA we should be Memphis or fire the Coach.
We should never be Memphis.

Maybe those guys wanting to get back to the MW is like us longing for the old CUSA. Not saying the teams are remotely comparable but more from a rival/familiarity point of view.
If we can’t win this CUSA 9 out of 10 times (both regular and post season), our basketball program is gonna be dreadful.
I will go with 7 out of 10. Hopefully some of those programs start to step up. We know that USM, ODU and UAB have had past success on the eastern side. For me the key is if we have a down year it means we are still finishing in the top 3 or 4, not the bottom of the league.

The administration there surely won’t make a rushed decision though. The MWC may be attractive right now, but if the BE football schools decide to form a national conference, with an all-sports western division with 8 teams, then MWC will be picked clean and UTEP will be left in a conference that will be struggling to survive just like the WAC. CUSA is way more stable than the MWC because we have a virtually limitless amount of teams we can pick from, whether they be SBC schools or high performing FCS programs (JMU, Delaware, App, Ga. Southern). The west has almost no schools left to choose from.
Just my 2 cents, but I think the BE is done as a national player. After UConn jumps ship (ACC most likely) and if Cincy can find a way out as well, I have my doubts that Boise State or SD State will stick around in what basically will be a new version of a bad edition of Conference USA.
What is up with future CUSA member ODU this season? They’ve only won one game so far this season. I was hoping they would be one of our biggest basketball rivals in CUSA.
