Reid Aube was awarded a scholarship for his senior season! Congrats to him and all his hard work! A true 49er!
Well deserved! Am happy for both Reid and the 49ers team!
I’m happy and sad all at the same time
clt says congrats to the new parents!
Class move, he deserves it !
He was our enforcer inside last year…love his physical play and his heart !
I love to see Aube on the floor, but I will be thrilled to see him in the stands. We have too few former players that come back as alums and I love it when they have the attitude that this is their school and always will be. I think Reid may be one of those guys.

Agreed.
VERY…even EXTREMELY happy for the kid. Rewarded for his hard work.
But sad that he’s the best big man we could sign for our final scholly.
Congrats to Reid, love seeing kids like him get this honor.
Congrats to Reid for all your hard work!
Considering our lack of depth down low I don’t see us being a top contender in CUSA. Our slow journey to relevance continues.

as you might predict, i disagree with this statement. while i have questions about our frontcourt, how many teams in cusa have an elite big man that we have to compete with? I think we easily have the best backcourt in the league. now we also have depth and a system that is tough to match up with. size on the wing and added depth should help our defense a lot. i dont see a slow journey, i see a big jump this season.

big jump as in, theres a range where we can land. we could, as some on here predict, improve to about 19 wins but lack of a big man shows through. we could also win 25 games and go dancing and i believe both are very doable. or we could land somewhere in between. i have never bought this concept that going from 14 wins to making the tournament was a big jump. it is and it isnt. losing joseph sucks but we bring in a lot of talent and should the best backcourt in the conference(maybe by a lot). i also believe that our bigs will be better than expected and that our depth will be a big asset, especially in conference play. i believe we could beat anybody on the schedule. i wouldnt favor us against maryland or florida. the other tough ooc games are up in the air to me. im not saying we will win 25 games and go the tournament but it wouldnt suprise me and it shouldnt shock anybody on this board. we have some real talent and a year under our belts for most guys, who were just learning the ropes at this time last season.
