Watching the GW-Maryland game. GW moves the ball and has guys that can score - but their offense is very undisiplined. It looks like everyone has a green light. The guards penetrate and dish well, and they give-and-go from the wing. We will have a tough time keeping them under 80.
They have 4 players in double digits and Pops was in foul trouble most of the game and only scored 8. This team could be unbelievably dangerous by the time we finish out the season at their place.
Simply, they hit shots and FTs. That’s what this game is all about. Simply. They score. Everthing else is just stuff some folks like to drone on and on about here and in the media. It’s just about hitting shots…hmmmm…
Ive also never known maryland to be a defensive squad, they have always been a team that tries to outscore you.

I agree, you got to put the ball in the hole. Everything else is just Fluff.

Gary Williams has always stressed defense first, that’s why Macdonalds AA Mike Jones didn’t get to play until his third year. Maryland National Championship team was very good defensively.
On another topic, do you think it might be time to change your signature???
Watching that game last night, I don’t think I ever have seen a team look more like a Louisville/Pitino team than the GW team last night. Their half court trap, and defense where they don’t allow the PG to start or run the offense was very impressive.
They also moved so fast it made MD speed up and play at a tempo they were not good at. There coach and team did a great job to control that game.
I’m very excited about Charlotte being a member of the A10. From what I’ve see so far, the A10 is much stronger than CUSA would have been this year and the A10 is stronger than CUSA has been in the recent past.
By the way I believe it is the 3rd year in a row GW has beat MD.
