Half Court Inbounds Play Turnovers - Over/Under 3

6 games left.

Under please Bobby! Can’t take much more of this.

I think Bobby’s done a great job coaching this year but I still can’t figure this out. Why do we have so much trouble inbounding the ball??

Look at Lutz Live thread for this answer

On LL, Bobby said there was only one inbounds play of ours that was stolen. I saw 2 and almost a 3rd. He said that teams are getting really good at defending the inbounds play, so that's why we have to throw it half court.

this isn’t a cibik02 valid answer.

Is this one of those, “the average fan doesn’t know how hard it is to get the ball inbounds?”

HAHAHA! Did he really say that?

Its like no niner fans watch any other college basketball to be able to tell that they don’t rely on the half court hail mary to execute a simple inbounds play.

More than the Average Fan: Coach Lutz, why is your team settling for shots from half court? A shot from half court and from the 3 point line both count as 3 points correct?

Coach Lutz: Yes you are correct. Teams are really playing tight man to man defense on us and not giving us ANY open looks from the 3 point line. I game planned telling my players to shoot from half court and see what happened… my players were WIDE open. Shots may not be falling, but they are WIDE open shots where my players have GOOD looks at the basket. If they don’t make them, I tell them to keep shooting, eventually they will fall. No team can guard against half court shots and if they happen to adjust… then I will have to adjust our game plan. Full court shots aren’t out of the question. You take what the other teams give you.

Excellent explaination!
