[Daytonās gym seats more than Halton and usually has 150% of the attendance.Saint Louis, Scottrade Center - 20,000 (next season in Chaifetz Arena - 10,600)
Have you ever been to St. Louis??? It is the worlds worst place to play a basketball game. I understand what you are saying, but the bottom line is we have to play. I have a clue on why Lee is struggling. Bobby and his staff have milked him for about all he is worth. Look at it like this. Hereās a 5ā11 shooting guard, key word shooting guardā¦most 5ā11 are fast PGS, running off 50-75 picks every game, taking elbows by every 6ā8 guy on the court, being held/stratched/clawed/beaten to death, and then has a hand in his face on every shot. He has to work for every point/shot he gets offā¦I think he is just worn out. That is asking a ton from any shooting guard, especially one who is undersized. Heās in a slump and its time for Mack, Garrity, Coley, and Ian to step up and be leaders. But I think Bobby is smart enough to know that Lee is tired and will find him more minutes on the benchā¦be patient and Lee will be back to form in time for a push through conference tournament time. I still think A-10 gets 5 teams this yearā¦

Iām trying to figure out what a cracker-box gym has to do with a 20,000 seat arena.
Also need to mention that St. Joeās plays a number of their home games at the 8,000+ seat Palestra. In fact, the Hawks will play ALL of their home games there in 08-09 while Alumni is expanded and renovated. It will be renamed Hagan Arena for SJU alumnus Michael J. Hagan when it re-opens, as he donated $10 million for the project.
I took out those games, run. If you averaged all their āhomeā games, the Hawks average 4,525 butts per game.
Dude, it's a message board for people to express opinions. If mine differs from yours, I at least respect your opinion and don't tell you to shut up. I don't even think you're an idiot.Just because some of us think that Leemire needs to be reigned in if heās shooting awful shots in bad situations, that doesnāt mean we want him kicked of the team. Should he have been benched for a while last night or against Richmond? If Lutz was telling him to quit taking bad shots and he didnāt, sure he should ride the pine for a while.
I like Lutz as well, but his late game tactics baffle the hell out me. Their two inside guys foul out and 7 of our last 10 shots were 3ās. Thatās gotta make you question something.
I support the program, players and coaches. That doesnāt mean they are above a little criticism from time to time. If we play great, Iāll say so. If we stink it up like the last 7 minutes last night, I think the constitution gives me the right.
This is exactly what I have tried to say in every thread. Iām not going to bash or talk junk about any players or coaches, but I will criticize. I agree, some people are going way over the edge on the last two games, but some of you need to put the mug of green kool-aid down and realize there are somethings that are easily fixable. Nobody in their right mind wants Lee benched long term, youād be suicidal like half this board last night to think that, but if he has to sit and watch from the pine whether the team wins or loses without him will get his attention. I donāt care if any of them read this, its not a cheap shot at him, its a valid criticism, something I hope heād realize by watching film.
Some people need to read posts before they make huge assumptions that every post that isnāt pro-good game, isnāt hate. Itās called constructive criticism and for some of you when you get into the real world it is truly going to be a bitch.
Leemire has single handedly carried us on many occasions, most notably versus Davidson, St. Josephās and he had a lot to do with the Clemson win as well, three of our biggest wins. Goldwire is a shooter and has a shooterās mentality. When they arenāt falling every great shooter keeps firing. I understand the anger, but you canāt blame Lee. If it is anyoneās fault it is the coaches. They have to tell him to calm it down, but honestly he is our best player who has had some great games- just not the last two. If you blame Lee for this loss, you take away from all of the good things he has done this year for the team when he was firing shots that happened to go in. He will continue to shoot 10+ shots a game and most will be 3-pointers. If any blame is to be given it has to be to coach Lutz. That was a great chance to erase the memory of Richmond and they blew it- big time, but it is not the fault of Lee or Mack. If you bench them-which will never happen- who would score? AnāJuan? Phil? Ian? Charlie? Careful what you ask for.

Thank you, some are so sensitive or at least not realistic

You did not get it. Not bench Lee for the whole game⦠when he takes bad shots at bad times. Who will score??? 40 pts came from others than Mack and Lee. That was a positive in the game.Giving some blame to Lee for his play WILL NOT TAKE AWAY THE YEAR LEE HAS HAD. I bet Lee probably feels the same way. Iām sure he feels bad that he let his team down. But last night game is over and Lee, as a senior leader will practice his ass off and be ready for ST. Bon

itās called a paragragh- use it

Who started the rumor that Lee is agreat shooter? He is shooting 36% overall and 34% from 3pt range. He is only averaging 1.22 points per shots. To compound the problem, our second leading scorer, Mack, averages an atrocious 1.08 points per shot. Takes a bunch of shots from your two leading scorers to put points on the board. :unhappy:
