Help Me Niner Nation

Niner Nation, I could use a little help!

My mother recently “retired”—and decided it was the perfect time to make her lifelong dream a reality. She opened Vintage Treasures of Concord, an antique shop and marketplace featuring over 60 local vendors.

Here’s the wild part: she told me about it two weeks after signing the lease, and just four weeks later, she officially opened the doors. What she’s accomplished in such a short time has truly impressed me.

For anyone near Concord, NC, if you enjoy antiques, collectibles, or vintage finds, please stop by and check it out. It’s a really great spot with a ton of variety and charm.

Now for the favor — I’m trying to help her spread the word and increase customer traffic.

  • Is there a local influencer here who’d be willing to make a post or shoutout?

  • Anyone connected to a news outlet looking for a feel-good story about a retiree chasing her dream?

  • Or maybe someone who knows about local advertising opportunities (billboards, features, etc.)?

Her Google Business profile is still in progress (slow process!), but everything else is up and running.

If you have any ideas, connections, or suggestions, please PM me — I’d be incredibly grateful.

Begrudgingly sent this to my wife. She will be out that way on Wednesday. This could cost me.

seriously good luck to your Mom. Opening a business is hard but looks like she is off to a good start.

Hahaha thanks!

I’m no influencer but will stop by to support at some point!

If she joins the Cabarrus Chamber of Commerce, they usually post new business announcements and do social media stuff. My buddy’s creative agency does all of their social media and is a CLT grad. Worth reaching out.

She accept/interested in consignments or something similar? My mom was an antique dealer/collector for 60 years and I still have a huge collection of her tin tea cups and such that I have been trying to find the best place to sell without giving it away and I don’t want to deal with eBay.

Ahhh I see it is an antique mall with vendors - so answered my own question. I will take a look but problem with this approach for me is when I am out of inventory I am out of inventory. I need a short-term “booth” or consignment opportunity.

I think she does a 2 month commitment up front and then it goes month to month. Stop in and talk to her if interested. Last I heard she had 3-5 more spots to rent. Regarding consignment, I know she was offering it to her current vendors if things didn’t fit in their spot so you could always ask about consignment.

It’s a great day for vintage market visiting!!! :pick:

I even have my Niner bobble heads in there. If every Niner fan spent $1 or invited a friend who spent $1… how many’s sales would that be???

Number Ten: a strong word called ‘consignment’
Strictly for live men, not for freshmen
If you ain’t got the clientele, say, “Hell no!”
‘Cause they gon’ want they money rain, sleet, hail, snow
