Couldnt have happened to a better guy!
clt endorses the cop
nice.
The cops found the arrest a welcome change from their usual routine traffic police work…
Excellent TV news reporting. They tell the truth, see the last paragraph.
From KSN-TV, Wichita, KS…

MANHATTAN, Kansas, Jan. 31, 2008 – Kansas State Associate Head Coach Dalonte Hill was arrested and charged with DUI hours after K-State’s win over KU Thursday.
Hill was pulled over on a traffic infraction by a Pottawatomie County sheriff’s deputy on McCall Road in Manhattan around 2am. The sheriff’s department records show there was probable cause Hill was under the influence of alcohol.
Hill was taken to jail and released after posting a $500 bond around 4:45am. The county attorney will now review the case and is expected to decide Friday or early next week whether charges will be made.
Hill, 28, came to K-State from Charlotte University last year. His relationship with star freshman Michael Beasley is reportedly a key reason why Beasley came to K-State.
I guess it’s hard to avoid the cops when there is only one road in your town.
Did the cops uncover the 49ers Manifesto in Hill’s car. It’s a 100+ page booklet about Hill’s master plan to steal our best recruit ever!
The sad thing is that Hill is supposed to be a role model to Beasley. This is not a good example to set.
I can’t take credit for this quote, but someone texted me this:
It would have been even better if Beasley was giving him road head when he got pulled over.
That made me giggle.
Tonight at Lutz Live we were at the table talking about this and 49times mentioned it and I said “way to follow in Huggins footsteps.” Just a few seconds later Robby tells Mrs. Lutz and she says the same thing…word for word…gives me a high five and says “that would never happen under LUTZ!” It was awesome.

It was pretty awesome.
In some ways, Huggins sort of did us a favor.
Hill is a longtime friend of star freshman Michael Beasley, who has said many times that if Hill had not been hired by former Wildcats coach Bob Huggins, he would not have come to Kansas State.
What the **** was he thinking when he left? Has any of huggins assistants gone on to do anything decent?
Andy Kennedy is doing well for himself at Ole Miss.

Yeah, she’s right. I never saw Hill out at University Bars when he was here, ever.

I was actually asking for real. so thanks…
I guess everyone believes that Beasley goes pro after this year, so if Hill is found guilty what happens to him? Huggy got a suspension, Phil Ford got suspended and moved to the fund raising office or something. Eddie Sutton got fired. I think that KSU has to at least suspend him, and if they don’t see big stuff in the recruiting pipeline this could be an excuse to let him go. Everyone in the coaching world must have an opinion on how he got his job, so who would go to bat for him? He could be out of the business over this.
Nugget I was thinking exactly the same thing. You beat me to it by 7 minutes. This may be the excuse KSU is been looking for if that’s the route they want to take.
