I met this guy and his father at the concession stand during half-time. I think he told me that his name is Jordan something, but I could be wrong. He told me that he is being recruited by Wake, Charlotte, Tulsa, Harvard, and Davidson. I cannot find a post on this guy.
Tulsa? Did he pick them out because they were playing? Kind of an odd-man in that list.
Anyway, is this him?
Hopewell had someone score 22 last night with the last name Dolling so the name might be wrong.
That is him. He said that the Tulsa coaches saw him play in AAU this summer. I do not think he is 6’ 5". I would think closer to 6’ 3". He seem like a very polite kid with a good head on his shoulders, and if Harvard is recruiting him he must have some good grades as well.
Downing led Hopewell to a victory over Traynham and Vance last night. Would be nice to have both of those players. If we haven’t offered Downing I hope we do. 4.0 GPA

Interest at this point according to the article…
“My teammates found me at the right times,” said Downing, who has offers from Virginia Military, Liberty and Wright State, plus interest from Charlotte, Wake Forest and Tulsa, “and I took advantage, if I was open.”
We need leadership. He seems like a leader. Bring him in.
we need more (basketball) smart players…

You might remember a post from last month about a kid named Daryl Traynham.
And though I feel silly posting twice in less than two weeks about a high school junior who isn’t even a consensus Top 100 prospect, I am compelled to update his story today and tell you he is no longer at Patterson School. Why? The official explanation revolves around homesickness or something of the sort. But a source close to Traynham said the real reason is that in a span of less than four days after arriving at Patterson the point guard managed to get involved in two off-the-court incidents, one of which was a fight with a teammate.
Sounds like a model citizen, doesn’t it?
I wish luck to the college program that lands this clown.
