I wasnāt crazy about Bobby being re-signed. Heās a great guy, and I want our team to succeed, but I donāt know that heās the guy that will get us far.
But I understand why he got the extension, Iām just sad that he couldnāt build off of last year. Weāre still early and searching for an identity, I knew this would be a rough year.
I was talking to a friend of mine before the game and he said in his opinion Benny Moss would be a much better coach for Charlotte. I don't think the chances of that happening are good, especially with Lutz and his new deal, and with the rumor that Moxley would take over after Lutz.
We had our chance to move on and Judy & Co. bluffed. Bobby āearnedā an extension last year and now the program will pay for it.
I like Bobby as a coach, but donāt love him as a coach, we have seen what he can do and that is the 2nd round at best. I thought it was time to move on in 2007 with the whole USA situation, but it didnāt happen.
Not. Even. Close. If anyone watch the wake forest game last night versus UNCW, you saw a bobby lutz coached team. The ran up the floor and took contested threes, and continually got lost in their zone defense and left wake players wide open. UNCW and Charlotte could switch jerseys and you couldāt tell a differance in play.
I accepted mediocrity several years ago so it was no surprise to me to see us lose to ODU and App St. We have no go-to guy this year like weāve had in the past. I suspect weāll be a 15-16 win team at best. I think itās a shame that I have to look in the past to find our best players.
Not me NA. I didnāt think we were that good before the season started. And you are the biggest hypocrite Iāve ever encountered. You think itās cute when you predict losses and go on rants but everybody else that vents or complains is either suicidal or hates the coach. Youāre a real piece of work NA.

usually, i am the first to start pushing the fire lutz bandwagon. i am not afraid of change (except for moss - he blows) - and i think a change every so often keeps the program from going stale. that said, i am going to give lutz a few more games before i hop on the fire his ass wagon.
there were moments in the game where i thought we played solid basketball. we attacked the basket. our younger players showed some skill (along with some lack in judgment).
i donāt know if bobby can take us where we want to go, but we have had tournament seasons that started off piss poor. letās see how we start off in conference play.
Dude, I donāt want to lynch the man, I just think we arenāt going to be anything but what we are now as long as heās here.
Once is happenstance.
Twice is coincidence.
Three times is a trend.
Donāt look now, but this is the 4th year.
Yep, except I would argue (and I did) that the pattern we see started 10 years ago. Even when we had talented players, we would lose the games we shouldnāt because of our style of play and coaching. But to answer the thread questionā¦we have to put up with it for another 5 years I guess. Dude is signed. I was at the point of accepting anybody to replace Lutz, high school coach, college assistant, Lebron Jamesā dad, Metro, anybody! We just need fresh blood, air out the house, flush the pipes, etc. But alas, here we are. When you plant tomato seeds, you get tomatoes. You donāt get corn. Weāve planted our seed and this is what we get. I donāt know what to do now really. Wait for football I guess is my plan.
