How long we do accept this???

I wasn’t crazy about Bobby being re-signed. He’s a great guy, and I want our team to succeed, but I don’t know that he’s the guy that will get us far.

But I understand why he got the extension, I’m just sad that he couldn’t build off of last year. We’re still early and searching for an identity, I knew this would be a rough year.

I was talking to a friend of mine before the game and he said in his opinion Benny Moss would be a much better coach for Charlotte. I don't think the chances of that happening are good, especially with Lutz and his new deal, and with the rumor that Moxley would take over after Lutz.

We had our chance to move on and Judy & Co. bluffed. Bobby ā€œearnedā€ an extension last year and now the program will pay for it.

I like Bobby as a coach, but don’t love him as a coach, we have seen what he can do and that is the 2nd round at best. I thought it was time to move on in 2007 with the whole USA situation, but it didn’t happen.

Not. Even. Close. If anyone watch the wake forest game last night versus UNCW, you saw a bobby lutz coached team. The ran up the floor and took contested threes, and continually got lost in their zone defense and left wake players wide open. UNCW and Charlotte could switch jerseys and you could’t tell a differance in play.

I’ve been at all 3 of those games. Damn that hurts!

I accepted mediocrity several years ago so it was no surprise to me to see us lose to ODU and App St. We have no go-to guy this year like we’ve had in the past. I suspect we’ll be a 15-16 win team at best. I think it’s a shame that I have to look in the past to find our best players.

No longer, to answer the question.

I say no more. This has to end. We aren't getting any better with this staff.

ODU, App St???

They used to be warm-ups for Gods sake!!!

We have regressed and are going down. Please, make me feel better and support the current paradigm (that’s for you NA)
.

You should have started this thread last year.

Hootie, bobblin, bball49er, WTF are you guys waiting on? Get to it!

Not me NA. I didn’t think we were that good before the season started. And you are the biggest hypocrite I’ve ever encountered. You think it’s cute when you predict losses and go on rants but everybody else that vents or complains is either suicidal or hates the coach. You’re a real piece of work NA.

:weep::tongue::weep::tongue::weep::tongue::weep:

Predicting a loss /= starting and posting concurrence in ā€œfire Lutzā€ threads.

I think you should try some more failed equivocating simply because you don’t like me.

So, what is taking you so long? GO GET HIM!!!

the man’s got a point

usually, i am the first to start pushing the fire lutz bandwagon. i am not afraid of change (except for moss - he blows) - and i think a change every so often keeps the program from going stale. that said, i am going to give lutz a few more games before i hop on the fire his ass wagon.

there were moments in the game where i thought we played solid basketball. we attacked the basket. our younger players showed some skill (along with some lack in judgment).

i don’t know if bobby can take us where we want to go, but we have had tournament seasons that started off piss poor. let’s see how we start off in conference play.

how long did it take to find that nouse without anyone in one?

Next time… stay home

Dude, I don’t want to lynch the man, I just think we aren’t going to be anything but what we are now as long as he’s here.

Once is happenstance.
Twice is coincidence.
Three times is a trend.

Don’t look now, but this is the 4th year.

I personally like the ā€œ8-20 anyoneā€ line in the other thread.

Yeah, I like it too. That’s why I said it.

Yep, except I would argue (and I did) that the pattern we see started 10 years ago. Even when we had talented players, we would lose the games we shouldn’t because of our style of play and coaching. But to answer the thread question…we have to put up with it for another 5 years I guess. Dude is signed. I was at the point of accepting anybody to replace Lutz, high school coach, college assistant, Lebron James’ dad, Metro, anybody! We just need fresh blood, air out the house, flush the pipes, etc. But alas, here we are. When you plant tomato seeds, you get tomatoes. You don’t get corn. We’ve planted our seed and this is what we get. I don’t know what to do now really. Wait for football I guess is my plan.

You aren’t a UNC-Raleigh grad are you?

Believe me, last night, I made the choice to never go watch our b-ball team play in Boone again!
