Prayers tonight for the safety of everyone in harm’s way.

I hate Michael Moore.

so is this guy

good luck everyone in the pathway.

I wish the tourism industry sucked there so that those poor people could move out of the fishbowl.

I appears this one wasn’t as bad a anticipated. I hope people don’t get complacent again though.

I am glad people got the hell out of town, but I am pretty annoyed by the newsmedia’s coverage of it. They sounded downright depressed that it was basically a bad rainstorm and nothing more.

Darn, and I was looking so forward to hearing them tell us how they had assets “on the ground” 1,455,868,434,545 times. :weep:

I’m glad i’m not the only one that noticed this. They sounded depressed the levees held and then when they got word a couple were “in question” they spent hours talking about if they’d hold.

Yep, kinda like the newsmedia’s coverage of a different subject this week. I won’t mention the subject, since this is not the political forum.

Other than turning off the station and not watching a particular network…what can we do that will actually have some effect? I can’t stand watching/listening to ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News Channel or CNN.

They all suck. Used to be a big CNN fan, but they are also a bull**** network.

I just think we should all say "on the ground’ more. It makes you look “uber” professional. Very “pro-active” of you.

:suicide smiley:

Good stuff
(Carl Hiaasen, the Miami Herald columnist and satiric novelist, once pointed out that fallen-tree footage is essential to TV hurricane coverage. The most-sought-after video, he wrote, is "in order of ratings:

 1. Big tree on strip mall
 2. Big tree on house
 3. Big tree on car
 4. Small tree on car
 5. Assorted shrubbery on car.")
Are they sure that wasn’t Dave Barry? Awesome. :lmao:

And poor Jeraldo. Capone’s vault is still empty man. Nothing you ever do in your life is gonna fill it. :weep:

LMAO… Dave actually did chime in from the RNC:
After that, I made my way over to the Alaska delegation, which was surrounded by a swirling mass of Internet-generated rumors so thick that I expected to see Geraldo Rivera courageously standing amidst it in a rain slicker.
