With all the rain that is expected from Helene, been thinking about the Flood of 1916 that ravaged Asheville and western NC:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person died when a tree fell on a home in northwest Charlotte early Friday morning, Medic confirmed.
The incident happened around 5 a.m. at a home on Brookway Drive, which is just off Brookshire Boulevard and Rozzelles Ferry Road. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Charlotte Fire and Medic.
