excellent series…i doubt we’ll see another one like it this playoffs. weird that a game 7, especially in this series, would come down to brodeur having a bad game. nothing he was going to do to stop the tying goal, but he got beat on two sick wristers from basically the same spot hitting the same spot. staal’s goal was RIDICULOUS. he looked like he didn’t believe what had happened himself. Boston will be tough. they’ve had our number this year but we haven’t played them since the deadline.

What a finish!

I’m gonna have to become a Canes fan because

  1. They eliminated the Devils!
  2. Some of the games in this series were straight up NUTS! (I hope they go all the way.) :shades:

I went from being said we were going to lose the series, to happy we won the series.
The series was very exciting and evenly matched. I dare say this will be the Series of the Year.
The Canes & the Devils look like mirror images of each other, right down to the switching jerseys of red & white.

marty sure has the numbers on his side…but he’s also been in the league sooo long…but head to head…in the playoffs…he sure has taken a couple of lessons from wardo…i mean, he beat him in the playoffs in 5 games when he was a rookie…and he was the more calm/collective one in game 7 this year. well i say game 7, i also should mention martin brodeur’s girl rant after game 4.

boston will be another great goalie matchup…tim thomas has been lights out this year. they’ve got killer skill up front and freakin huge chara anchoring the defense…will be a tough series.

Anybody going out to a game in the Boston series?

GF just purchased two seats for us, so I’ll be there next Friday for game 4.

THE JUICE IS LOOSE!

Hey, hey, whaddaya say…!!!

Went last night, sat about 10 rows in front of Packman and his possey, was an exceptional game, all goals scored on our end…you’ll have a blast.

I’ll be there tuesday, if necessary.

How do they go about refunds if there is no game 6?

I’m pretty sure you can save the tickets and exchange them for a game next season. That’s how they did it in 05-06.

I guess you get to move up a few price levels then? The tickets are $25 during the season and $50 for the 2nd rd of playoffs…

Probably.

Scott Walker should be suspended for at least 10 games. What a gutless chump he is.

I won’t go 10 games on Walker - but it was a classless move on his part.

But I saw a comment from Claude Julien that Jokinen deserves a suspension for his slash on Chara. If Jussi gets suspended, I won’t spend another dollar on the NHL. Chara gets away with a ton on **** on the ice.

Boston was clearly more physical, but I still think they got away with some things that were penalties earlier in the series.

Ward was face washing and shoving Cullen. Walker came in and said pick on someone your own size…Ward tried to punch him and basically missed. He got owned. Basically Walker is getting all the discipline cause Ward missed and that was judged as the other guy instigating. Ward was guilty of doing basically the same thing to Cullen…trying to instigate on someone that didn’t want to fight. Ward wanted to give someone a ride…just not Scott Walker.

Chara is ridiculous. He has the least speed of anyone in the NHL and all he does is cross check and sit there and make sure the guy doesnt get up. I don’t ever understand why the refs let that go…it becomes interference INSTANTLY after the check is finished because the puck is gone. He’s such a joke.

I’m glad this series finally has some fire to it. Or I guess I should say had some fire to it and will in the last game in Raleigh tomorrow…

Garbage.
Aaron Ward 6-2 215
Matt Cullen- 6-1 200

Walker is a punk, he was the 3rd man in, he threw a punch at a guy who was engaged. Walker dropped his gloves, no one else did. You want to be a tough guy fight the right way.

He was sticking up for his teammate. Don’t want to get messed with, don’t mess with somebody in the first place. Aaron Ward got was was coming to him.

Notice that nothing happens to Milan Lucic for shoving the referees who were trying to break up his scuffle with Walker.
