Must read interview of one of our favorite Niners!!

What will you remember most about your experience at Charlotte?

A few things… First, it would be that the fans there were great. I love my Charlotte 49er fans.

Thanks to survivor45 for the find.

there is also an article on Dijuan from a month ago that never surfaced here, a good read as well.
Any parting messages for the fans?
Thanks for the support throughout my career, and keep supporting the ā€˜Niners. We struggled a bit last year, but we’re going to bounce back.
:weep:
We miss you…
:49ers:

favorite niner.

ā€œMy biggest shot was probably against UMass in the conference tourney. It was a late three pointer to put us ahead by four. We held on from there to grab a huge win and advance to the conference semifinals.ā€

Dang right, Lee. Absolutely one of my favorite Niners. Class act through and through.

I’ll never forget the game against Davidson where him and Mr. Pizza Party went back and forth (With Leemire winning of course).

I’ll do a video thread for that one in a week or so when summer starts so everyone can have a copy.

I thought there was a ā€˜video’ thread?

FWIW, the CCT piece on DiJuan was linked a couple of weeks ago in the following thread (see post #11)…

New Q&A interview with Dijuan Harris up on Ninerreport.com

HAHAHAHA!!!

Who was the toughest defender you ever faced in both conference and non-conference play during your career at Charlotte?

The toughest was Stanley Burrell. I remember when we played them (Xavier) my senior season. … I finished the game with 31

Lee is by far my favorite Niner of all time. I miss having him on the team a lot. The teams weren’t the greatest during my tenure as a student, but I sure was lucky to get to watch him all those years. Def glad I got my jersey signed.

This response about sums it up and is totally ftw:

Shut up Lee!!!!!.... Just Shut up!!!! You had me at hello! :weep:

This sig item is also ftw as well:

But alas, it is too wide and stretches out my screen which is jacked up.

This brings up an interesting question however, which is better: Lee Gold OR Mike Tyson’s Punch Out? For gamers and Niners, this is a tough one.

HAHAHAHA!!!

I know, that is hilarious. Go Lee!!

I admired Lee for his attitude, intensity, guts, and hustle as much as I did for his shooting and ballhandling abilities. I hope he stays in touch with the school and the basketball program.

TIE. Punch Out is the greatest late 80s early 90s vg of them all.

I thought there was a 'video' thread?

I think it’s safe to say that you and I are talking about different things.

And you are the greatest Jewish 49er on NN.N of them all.
