I really need…

My fandom really needs a 20+ win basketball season. Football could have helped with some surprises, but I think we know what we’ve got on the football side at this point. If Albin doesn’t get it done, I’m not sure if it ever happens in football

It has truly been a long slog and I’m running out of “wait till next year”.

I buy 2 season tickets to football and basketball. I used to try to bring friends when I couldn’t talk my son into going. I don’t even bother any longer because it’s embarrassing.

Stay positive on Albin, at least until the end of next year.

From my last glance at the basketball schedule, it looked pretty weak from what I could remember. Expecting 20 wins from the history we have with Fearne seems like setting yourself up to be disappointed.

the AD has a bad smell. Changing coaches doesn’t seem to change the smell. Something else is needed.

That’s all I got. You have a bot battle on your hands.

By the way… thread title requires a poll in here somewhere. Get busy please…

Yep, I don’t expect 20, but I need it.

I wonder where a 20 win season would put us. Maybe #3 in the aac, ~#110 net, and could still lose first round in the conference tourney. Basketball has become sad for me. I think I need to see top 75 basketball for 2 years in a row to get excited again.

Being a fan of a 250 ranked team is very hard.

Everyone blames Hill for basketball as well, but Judy started the downfall firing Lutz.

I need soccer to win. No longer really give 2 shits about basketball. I guess winning is better than losing but that about all the emotion I’ll put into it. After 30 years I don’t have basketball tickets.

I miss hoops being a top thirty or so program a lot. Those were really good times and we were good for a while.

I was into it with an App idiot who was bagging on our football program and he was bragging about beating Mich, USC, UNC-Ch. I told all the teams we beat in hoops. He thought I was lying. I gave him my standard reply, look it MFer. Would be nice to be near that level again

This year’s soccer team hasn’t found consistency just yet. Feels like a young / new team with the only established star power being Stritter in the net.

Still, I think they can be good. I expect them to improve a good bit during the season.

I’m so tired of football season being over before October. I still think Albin can get this program headed in the right direction, and didn’t expect to bowl or anything like that this season, but was hoping for more than 1-11. We just don’t have the horses to get it done this year so I guess we have to wait until next year again and hope the talent issue gets fixed this off season. But I too am running out of “maybe next years”. I’ve waited the last 20 years of my life for something to come close to the 2005 basketball season. I’m running out of years, patience and energy.

A 20 win season would be great….it likely wouldn’t be enough to get us in the tournament which is the frustrating part about where we were are. I love basketball and have wonderful memories from the early 200’s. I wish we were in a much different place as a program. I don’t buy season tickets for basketball, I do for football though.

I really like Fearne and Albin and want to see both succeed.

It was really great meeting Bobby Lutz at our tailgate before Thursday’s game. I remember all the Bobby Lutz Invitational tournaments we won. I miss waiting for the Monday Observer to see where we were ranked each week. It’s just not the same these days.

Winning the “BLI” occured twice during his 12 seasons as HC - 1999 and 2001.

So speaking of need I have a serious question. Do we really need the money badly enuff to take pummelings from the likes of UGA? I know the money is nice but do you think it’s really worth it? I personally have my doubts

I’d rather get a similar paycheck from a virginia tech and have a good shot to win.
