I get it. The idea of covering the local school as a show of support and loyalty to the local community…instead of “how many clicks will it get” …is a foreign concept at the Observer afterall.

I just use the “show reader” button in safari on my iPhone and I can see the whole article
I have Apple News which they are partnered with. You can read it there as well.
Kiwi browser has a block paywall extension that works too

I’m not posting a positive reaction to that story because Scott Fowler went out of his way to call the AAC a one bid league.
It is ALWAYS about trying to put us in our place.
Until Memphis started collapsing, we were seriously considering 3 bids, not 1.
