I want my GT

From talking with the person in charge of the licensing at the school, every single one of those vendors is lying, just plain lazy, or both.

Iā€™m going to print this out, make copies, and carry them around with me and hand them out to anyone who makes an excuse. Sometimes though itā€™s the vendor/supplier, not necessarily the store. (Like Uncommon Scents- they want to carry stuff, but their vendors donā€™t have it as an option for them to stock)

A conversation I had with 49erAlumnus got me thinkingā€¦what if I started a website that sold Charlotte merch. Legit, licensed stuffā€¦same as footballfanatics or Value City or even the Santa hats at Dickā€™s. If I do this the RIGHT wayā€¦not shady/underhanded, could it work?
Talk to Alan, former Campus Sports owner, if you are serious. He used to post on here a few years ago, and Iā€™m sure someone on here knows how to get in touch with him. He could give you specifics on what he ran into ordering stuff and ā€œminimum ordersā€. While he owned Campus Sports, he managed to get many items that 49er fans had yet to see (car magnets, golf balls, car flags, etc.), and some nicer t-shirts/sweatshirts at a better price than we were used to seeing.

Put me down for these when you get your store going:
I didnā€™t realize GT wasnā€™t popular in Atlanta. What schools do people in that city pay allegiance to? Georgia State?
U(sic)GA! Tech is popular in Ga. , yet U(Sic)Ga rules the roost is media just as UNCCH.
If our bookstore or online store looked anything like this with their selection and pricing, you would hear about 1/4 of the griping from everybody:

No doubt the Georgia stuff probably far overshadows their gear in availability, but at least they have a good base. We donā€™t even have that. RIP Value City. :pout:
Yeah, I love shopping on the Gt storeā€™s website. It is wonderful, especially cmopared to our Charlotteā€™s crap online store. Atleast i can get what I want GT wise.
But those bulldogs arenā€™t gay like those rams are. :shades:
I donā€™t no about that. UGAy is a nickname given to the Bulldogs by Tech folks!

I went to Uncommon Scents yesterday, Iā€™m a masochist for even trying, but you never know.

4 niner items. Flag, overpriced tumblr, watch, sticker.

Compare that to our CUSA counterparts (ECU and Marshall) and it is laughable. Compare it to area FCS programs, WCU, App, Coastal, itā€™s even more embarrassing.

Look, I donā€™t even expect as much stuff as Ole Miss in Charlotte, setting the bar low, but our merchandising, with respect to availability and quality, is pure garbage.

Didnā€™t you hear? The history books got rewritten. Some group with some name we canā€™t remember did very little to help anything.
