i was just looking on a football recruiting site and read a quote from a high school football prospect that made me think. this kid, who is a defensive linemen in florida just received an offer from lsu, who was his childhood favorite who he always wanted to play for. when asked if this put them out in front for his services he said "no, you should not go to a school just because you grew up rooting for them, you have to seperate the fan in you from recruiting(im paraphrasing). i wish some of the guys we recruit, especially in charlotte thought the same way.
