I know Carlos has taken a beating on this board after his poor play in crunch time after the Dayton game. But beside that game he has played very well of late.Tonight he played great and was a big factor in the win.I think its time to put him back as the permanent point guard.Since Lee has been at pg he hasn’t played as well.We need Lee scoring at shooting guard.I know Carlos makes some bad plays during the course of the game but its time to let him make his mistake.I hate that Lutz will pull him after any time he makes a mistake.Lutz left Mitchell in the game when he did nothing at all.At least Carlos tries to make something happen. He makes some good passes that his teammates just don’t respond to or not use to getting.I wish Lutz would treat him like he did Demon Brown when he was pg.Lutz use to ride his ass but he kept him on the floor until he became a decent pg.I think the Carlos has the talent if Lutz would let him play his game.

I didn’t get to see the internet feed but he was the difference in the second half last night it sounded like. 6 assists, 8 rbs, and 2 steals!!! He also took over in the GA State, Wyoming and Valpo games. Carlos can be very good but also make some mistakes. Lutz talked about this even before the season. He’s still getting a lot of minutes, it’s just that they prob only wanted Lee at PG for 5-10 minutes. Carlos should be better in conf play and really good next year.
I like carlos williams, he would absolutely demolish mitch baldwin in one on one. PG is a tough position to play in the first year of a system
Lefty your post summed up why I don’t like that we recruit so many JUCO’s
Carlos can be very good but also make some mistakes. Lutz talked about this even before the season.Basically he is a freshman wanting Junior minutes and Junior responsibility.
Carlos should be better in conf play and really good next year.and then he is gone.
He played 29 minutes.I know he played 29 minutes last night but there have been times that he has not played that much. All I am saying is give him the ball and live with his mistake.I think he can make these team better if Lutz didn't pull him everytime he made a mistake.
but the problem is when does he learn from those stupid mistakes. if he gets pulled out. then he learns
I certainly think he proved he is wanting that job. Let’s see if he can keep it up. Good job Carlos!
I know he played 29 minutes last night but there have been times that he has not played that much. All I am saying is give him the ball and live with his mistake.I think he can make these team better if Lutz didn't pull him everytime he made a mistake.Well, let's say that Lutz uses a 3 guard rotation of Carlos, Lee and Ian against Dayton. That's 80 minutes for three players. How would you split the minutes?
If Carlos is coming up to speed, then that could work well. Lee is pretty versatile (*sp). And Ian is quite a threat from outside consistantly. In fact I think with how well everyone is rebounding, we could technically play like we had 2 #'s and no #3. Kind of blend those. Have Ian, and DA play that and use Lee, Ian rotation on the true #2. Then Carlos and Lee at #1.
Side note concerning offense: I want to see movement. It’s like our guys try to slow down the game and play set offense but they don’t know what to do with he spare time. I think we will get 2-4 more turnovers a game, but 10-14 more points if we maintined movement.
