It's Signing Day!!!

We are headed down the home stretch to signing our 3rd official class. 2 things stick out me:

  1. Can we land Zeek Rodney and Treshun Wynn?
  2. How many JUCOs will be signing if Lambert plans on redshirts for some of the freshman contributors from last year?

Anything stick out for anyone else?

Spring game is just around the corner on April 5, can’t wait.

Getting Rodney and Wynn would give me a great deal of confidence for our 3rd and 4th season in CUSA. They seem to be CUSA caliber players from everything I’ve read about them.

as of today…our current, committed class ranks 118th out of 137 programs…

247 Sports doesn’t have our full class up. I wish we had a dedicated person over there because I like their rankings systems better than any other site.

I agree. They’ve left off 6 of our 19 commits (roughly 1/3 of the class). We’d be up a bit higher with those factored in, I imagine.

Anyone heard if we will be hosting another signing day event on campus?

Yes, I understand Coach Lambert likes the event… Its usually on a Thursday so I am thinking it will be the 13th as that allows a week to make sure all is in order… I will confirm.

Where can we find a full and complete list of commitments? Anyone know how many guys we would like to sign?

Rivals has the best list so far:

Not sure about the number we want to sign. I guess it really depends on redshirts.

I’m really excited about Workpeh Kofa. I hope we are able to keep him up through signing day to make it official. Our receiving corps could be NASTY in CUSA with Duke, Bostick, Jamel Ross, Kofa, Quattlebaum, Nesmith Jr…those are some dudes that can really make an impact. Exciting times ahead.

Below is another one that shows all our offers, and if they’ve given verbals, committed, or undecided.

We’re also after Shaedon Meadors, 3 star WR from Byrnes (SC).

Big article in today’s Monroe Enquirer Journal about Wynn. He confirms that his final 2 are Charlotte and ECU, and that he plans to make a decision in the next week or so. Also, this gemā€¦ā€œWynn has already turned down scholarship offers from North Carolina, Duke and App Stateā€ā€¦ ;D Love that!!! Wynn would be a nice get. Go Lambert!

Join us for the third annual Charlotte 49ers Football Signing Day Chalk Talk with Brad Lambert on Thursday, February 6 at 6pm in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center 3rd Floor Salons.

^ BTW Jordan Carswell picked us over an offer from app st… Nothing better then that!!!

Wait players are picking Charlotte over App? That can’t be, the Appys said that would never happen.

I don’t care about picking us over App so much, but picking us over UNC-CH and Duke already…thats nice. 8)
