Jabril Trawick - 2011 G/F

6’5 200lbs and I have seen him listed as PG, SG & SF, so I’m guessing he’s versatile. From Abbington Friends School in PA. Plays for Team Phenom in AAU.

One player who really helped his stock in the first set of 10 days this July was Jabril Trawick ’11 of Abington Friends (PA) and Team Phenom. Trawick, an athletic 6’6 wing, currently claims offers from 24 programs: La Salle, Drexel, Penn, Robert Morris, VCU, Northeastern, Delaware, Alabama, Virginia, Florida State, Cincinnati, Marist, Marshall, Charlotte, Murray State, North Carolina State, Wagner, St. Francis (PA), Richmond, UNC-Wilmington, Boston College, Old Dominion, and East Tennessee State. “Not yet. I’ll think about [that] after all the basketball is done,” said Trawick on whether he has any favorites. Trawick noted that many of the schools have just recently gotten involved and that all of his offers besides Drexel, La Salle, Delaware, and Robert Morris are fairly recent.

It seems like Major and crew’s philosophy is to offer as many good players as possible and hope we get a couple. I never seem to remember seeing this many offers with Lutz.

To be fair, it has been a few years since NN.N has had a recruiting czar as good as moss, I’m sure we were mentioned in offers on a ton of guys we never knew about over the past few years. The recruiting forum has become really useful again.

Twitter is a great source that lets us know who we’re tracking.

see if you can see my"Recruiting" list: http://twitter.com/rossmith/recruiting/members

i clicked on your name, not sure if that is your recruiting list or if there is somewhere else to click but we should add jules tavares to the list since you said we have offered.

yeah, I have him bookmarked on my on my home PC, was going to add him tonight.

RT @TeamNJABC: Jabril Trawick '11 was offered by Georgetown & Joey Gripper offered by Quinnipiac today according to AAU coach Paul Gripper.

With an impressive recruiting resume, Jabril keeps a good handle on his recruitment and keeps tabs of who has offered him. On his phone, Trawick has a notepad with a list of schools who have offered. Those schools include “La Salle, Drexel, Penn, Robert Morris, VCU, Northeastern, Delaware, Alabama, Virginia, Florida State, Cincinnati, Marist, Marshall, Charlotte, Murray State, North Carolina State, Wagner and St. Francis.” The newest offer to come in is Big East powerhouse Georgetown, according to Team Phenom coach Paul Gripper. While his offers vary from high to low major schools, Jabril’s play is very consistent. With no favorites at this point, some of the larger schools really stand out to the rising senior. “I like Florida State, VCU, Charlotte, Richmond, Cincinnati and the ACC as a whole,” he said. With plans to “visit Florida State and VCU” in the near future, Trawick will narrow his down in “August” and hopes to commit in “October.”

at least we got a mention there. with us losing wilderness this kid would have a chance to come in and play immediately.

Would be nice to have a guy that’s 6’6 that could slide from the SF to SG at times.

PhenomEast:

Trawick's top 5 1. Florida State 2. Georgetown 3. Lasalle 4. Cincinatti 5. Charlotte

well, we’re in the top five and i dont understand la salle being ahead of us.

I don’t know if he’s from PA, but the school he plays for is in PA, so I’m guessing locality is a good reason. We haven’t been all that much more impressive then them the past few years (I know we’ve been better and had more success, but it’s not exactly excessively more success).

Well, Dr. G convinced Murray to sign on and now I’m reading that Kyle Anderson will be taking a visit to La Salle. Not saying the latter will end up there too, but that’s quite an impressive list of offers he has from A-10, ACC, and Big East schools.
