Big time pick up!! He’s a unanimous three star, and the consensus is he’s a top200 player nationally, and 3rd ranked player in the state of Maryland. DeMatha is traditionally a powerhouse. This is some much needed good news. Way to go coach Sanches and co!

Similar to the Cy Young award, Freshman of the week will hereafter be called the Jahmir Young award.
Was looking back at preseason predictions and Lindy’s and Three Man Weave tabbed Young as C-USA FOY. I know it’s early but nice to know we have a frosh in the running!

See that the funeral for legendary DeMatha coach Morgan Wootten was held today at the high school where he coached for 46 years.

With three weeks left before the C-USA tournament, Young has what seems to be an insurmountable lead in the race for league freshman of the year honors over the only other multiple recipients - Jalen Benjamin of UAB and Andrew Taylor of Marshall, both two time FOTW winners.
