Jamir Hanner - PF 2010

6’7 190lb 2010 PF out of Philly. We have offered, but looks like Seton Hall wants him and he’s “very interested” in them.

article tabbing Hanner as tourney MVP. Plays alongside Kelvin Amayo who we are listed with as well.

This article also says Hanner is 6’9.

Another article comparing Hanner to Gaston at Fordham…http://www.friarbasketball.net/2010/02/day-ii-npsi-more-khem-birch-please.html

Speaking of NIA, someone get Jameer Hanner on the phone if Providence doesn't land Kadeem Jack. The 210 pound power forward battled the massive Mo Walker all game and dominated for NIA. Listed at 6'6, but playing more 6'8, Hanner's explosion (20 and 17) against Brewster reminded me of a certain forward who dominated for New Hampton a year ago who now averages 17 and 10 as a 3/4 hyrid at Fordham.

Seen him listed as:

A) Height: 6-6, 6-7, 6-8, or 6-8;
B) Weight: 190 or 210;
C) Position: PF or SF;
D) First name: Jamir or Jameer

His ratings:

ESPN: 83
Rivals: no stars
recruitrecon.com: 2.5 (on 5 point scale)

BTW, in that piece about the tourney MVP, he shared that honor with 5-10 PG Myles Mack (2011) of Paterson (N.J.) Catholic. Mack is #114 (#25 PG) on Rivals Top 150 for the 2011 class and has been offered by Fordham, DePaul, St. John’s, and Virginia Tech.

Seton Hall lands a PF. Not sure if that will push Hanner away: http://www.zagsblog.com/2010/02/15/seton-hall-lands-6-8-forward-from-d-c/

unless he can play small forward i would say hold out on a power forward for this year since we are recruiting sullivan and pressley.

so can we get ONE THREAD of who we have offered that is 2010???

there are 2 slots open

per Adam Zagoria on Twitter:

jamir hanner on seton hall: `i just like the atmosphere of the campus. i like the coaching staff & their style of play.`

Hanner has committed to Seton Hall - http://www.zagsblog.com/2010/03/02/jamir-hanner-to-seton-hall/

same ol same ol…these threads are quite the waste as we land none of these top recruits…nothing but frustration year after year!!

From Zagoria (thanks to rambacker on the Fordham board!):

Former Seton Hall commit Jamir Hanner of NIA Prep says he’s considering Seton Hall, Rutgers, St. John’s, West Virginia, Rice, Charlotte, Marshall, Boston College, Fordham and DePaul.

Interesting, good find Run.

Per Zagoria, headed to Marshall.

FWIW, also read in today’s Big O that Marshall picked up a commit from 6-4 SG Devince Boykins of East Rutherford H.S. in Forest City. His Rivals profile also listed offers from Marquette, Miami-FL, and South Carolina, but don’t think we were involved.
