This. We have never been serious about athletics. They’re just a nice to have. Good enough is good enough.
Mike needs to negotiate with the Richardson family. This is such a loss now and in the long term.

I think Jeff was serious about athletics. The times are certainly different now than late 80s too early 90s. Sunbelt to metro to CUSA and Halton and Melvin was all his doing.
Between this, Cartwells and Barnes and Noble we are in the dumbest contracts of any Div 1 team… then they ask us normal people for more and more money, they should have all been redone as soon as Mike Hill started, but you know…
I just meant we lucked in to Jeff and the run of coaches there. They got us to the point where we mattered, but not because we went out and said we are going to be serious about it. And we proved that when we fired Lutz to hire Major.
I believe Jeff was serious about it.
