What? :o
New staff wasn’t recruiting him.
Still. It was listed that he already had offers from Baylor, Ole Miss, Cincy and USC.

Grades scared the old staff away, I’m sure it did with the new staff as well.

Must have been the same with the other schools listed too.
Granted his release from his NLI to Georgia State. Could be some front court help for us.
6’7" Center due to his wingspan. Sounds like a player that could be a find with good player development.
I don’t see it happening, grades were an issue for him.
Make sure he has a tutor then, and take the chance. I’d like to see us take another hometown kid, and we need another big man.
who cares if hes a hometown kid. he might not qualify so there is a possiblity he wouldnt help us this year. i would rather have stewart if given the option, or a juco backup. plus, this kid has little offensive game and a questionable motor from the evaluations i have read. in addition, hes a 6’7" center, so even if moved to power forward, he is undersized.
You don’t take a kid just got get one. Talent wins out, and I’m willing to bet if we can sign either, we’ll go with Stewart.
Ok, obviously get Stewart if that’s an option. I wasn’t advocating this kid over him, but if Stewart isn’t a choice, then I’d be happy to have this kid.
I would love to have Stewart too, but I would also love to have a kid that could contribute and log some minutes next season. Also, I believe both are about the same size.
Taking players just to take players has gotten us into trouble in the past.
they are the same size but pressley is a 6’7" power forward whereas stewart is a 6’7" small forward. big difference. plus stewart was a top fifty recrit who has already shown he can contribute at the big time d1 level and would be an immediate upgrade as a replacement to barnett.
Down to Robert Morris and Cincy, per ESPN.
Former Ga. State signee eyes two 2-star center Jervon Pressley, who was recently released from his letter of intent to Georgia State, has scheduled two visits, he confirmed to ESPN.com.Pressley will visit Robert Morris on April 14th and Cincinnati on April 28th.
“(That’s) All I know for right now,” he said.
Pressley was granted his release when Georgia State fired Rod Barnes in March.
signed his LOI with Towson.
Per Alex Kline, is transferring to Robert Morris. Guess that’s where he really wanted to be after getting his release by Georgia State.
