John Fox & Co.

Schottenheimer was fired from the chargers for losing against the pats in the first round of the '07 playoffs. he had a 14-2 record that season.

Schottenheimer didn’t get along with management.

This play really pisses me off; I’m pretty sure that’s Thomas Davis busting his ass to try to get to the ball, and Chris Gamble is just half-assing it back there.

I’m pretty sure it’s actually Quinton Teal.

That looks like a 20, and that would be where Gamble should be in the Cover 2. Could be Teal, though. Or do you mean the guy falling is Teal?
That was without a doubt Quinton Teal going up for the pick. I thought he had it. We would likely all be singing a different song if he had gotten his hands on that ball or if Moose hadn’t been whistled.

Godfrey did get his ankles broken, but Teal tried and almost made a play - more than I can say about a lot of guys.

What are you talking about? Didn’t you see Peppers reach his arms out to try and tackle that guy?! So much heart and passion.

John Fox- I hope the housing market make a turn for the better so you don’t take a bath on that house at Quail.

Except for Jerry Richardson himself, anyone and everyone who is receives compensation from this franchise should be updating their resumes and their realtor contact lists.

Wouldn’t blame Jerry if he went in and cleaned house. Wouldn’t exempt anyone. Even DeAngelo Williams and Steve Smith. Sure, they’re talented, but I’d be very interested in what they could command on the open market. There are not many valuable pieces on this team.

Pick me John, pick me, please pick me. You are outgained 425 to 167 and wonder if you have a QB issue? Its not the only problem on the team, but GUESS WHAT…IT IS A PROBLEM.

I disagree - with a coaching staff change I think we have a lot of pieces that different coaches using a different scheme could use effectively.

Julius is Julius - but he still COULD be one of the top DEs in the league, just need to get it out of him. Evertte Brown could still be good - too early to tell.

Beason and Davis are studs at the LB level.

Secondary is very weak. I would keep Harris and I guess Godfrey. Gamble is NOT a shutdown corner.

On Offense Steve is top flight. Moose is just too old. Bring in someone with a decent offense scheme and someone just decent on the other side and Steve will erupt.

The O line is better than average.

RBs are set.

I think with a coaching change and a few pieces we are back being competitive. Whoever takes over has some key pieces, which is more than we could say after the 1-15 season.

I’m tired of trying to wonder why Julius still needs help to “get it out of him”.

Need to give credit where its due - the linebackers, they are as good or better than any in the league.

On offense, I see Williams and Steve. The O-line in my opinion is average.

Unless there is a significant trade, a QB likely is not coming in the 2010 draft. So do you go the retread/backup route and hope you stumble into a decent one(my guess is this would be at least 2-3 yrs of work), plan on a top 5 pick in 2011 or invest $$ in a free agent signing after this year.

Don’t know for sure, but are the Panthers in position to sign a legit free agent? I don’t think so, but could be wrong.

I’m a Bills fan but definitely gotta disagree about Williams and Smith. You take those guys off this team and you’re the Rams. The Panthers have one of the best RB’s and WR’s in the league. Smith suffers primarily because no other receiver on the Panthers is a threat so opposing defenses can gang up on 89. Jake is Steve’s other primary limitation as I don’t think he’s the right QB for this team. Not so sure the right one is on the bench either.

DA is an absolute machine, period.

Carolina needs to go after a stud WR that can open up the game for Steve, a better solution than Jake at QB and I just don’t think Fox is the answer you’re looking for. He’s had a decent run here but the Panthers need a change. They are only a 2-3 players and a better coach away from being a serious contender. I guess you could say that about a lot of teams but not everyone has guys like Smith, DA, Beason, Davis, Gross, etc to build upon.

I agree about Julius - wish I knew what the deal is.

O-Line I think is a little above average - but a better coach and scheme would help. Davidson blows donkeys.

I don’t see them trading up high enough in the draft for a top tier college QB. I think Brady Quin or someone like that is who we end up with.

Who wants a Top-Tier QB. I’d take the Tebow of the MAC over Tebow. He’s thrown farther, ran farther, probably more humble, will charge less, etc. I can’t remember his name, but I think he’s at Central Mich.

Dan LeFavour

I’ve changed my mind. Fox needs to be gone.

Let’s give some credit to Meeks’s defense too. They have looked good the past couple of weeks. Too bad our special teams and offense are killing them.

Defense has been great. Really only given up points after TO’s that lead to great field position for the other teams.

The D has gotten better - they are actually tackling now - but still the special teams suck and the offense blows. Fire Fox.

Tank the season (almost there already) and take Tebow as a wildcat back. Tebow won’t make it as a QB but as a RB who can throw the ball on occasion in an almost fully wildcat offense could be something.

In what round? I don’t think we have to tank the season to get him.

Not that that is going to stop us from sucking.
In what round?
Oh **** that’s right… we traded off all of our first round picks until 2020, didn’t we?!?

I don’t know that Tebow will be a first round pick anyway.
