Who’s going to the JBC on Sat? There are 3 games, & the NC one is at 5:30. Two future 49ers are playing!!!
Which future 49ers are playing?
Williams and Thorne I believe.
Going to try and make it. National game will be on ESPN2.
What do you mean by “national game”? Any chance T-Will and Thorne are in this game??

Nevermind. I found my answer: http://www.jordanbrandclassic.com/News/2011-jordan-brand-classic-team-announced.html
The televised game is the one that is basically the McD AA game all over again. Twill and Mike are in the “regional game”, which isn’t on TV. You guys need to go and give us out-of-towners a good scouting report.
There’s 3 different games - a National game, a Regional game (featuring NC high school kids), and an International game. Here’s the website - http://www.jordanbrandclassic.com/
There’s some serious talent in the Regional (NC) game that T-Will and Thorne are playing in.
EDIT: ChiSox you beat me to answering your own question.
Re: Thread Title.
Hey! Elton Brand is a founder of this tournament too! Show a little respect! >:(
North Carolina regional game, 5:30 p.m., Time Warner Cable Ch. 520
Also includes a couple of others players headed to A-10: Dezmine Wells of Hargrave/Word of God (Xavier) and Chris Wilson of Fayetteville Sanford H.S. (St. Joe’s). All four are on the East squad, coached by Sanford’s Bill Boyette.
Where can I find the results? How did Thorne and Williams do?
All I could find so far is this article on the O.

So did none of you go to this?? Man, I leave town and all the scouting of local recruits comes to a halt! NLP? Pcon? Buehler??
the game was on channel 514 on TWC. It could possibly be available “on-demand.” I’ve watched about 1/2 the game, didn’t seem like our guys were getting as much PT, especially Thorne.
Also, didn’t look like our guys were out there to show off, which others were looking to do. T-Will had a nice blow early on against Bernard Sullivan.
Only watched a little bit on TV. Here is the box score…

Williams did pretty well. 4-9 for 8 points in 13 minutes. He was 4-7 from 2 point range.
Thorne got the least amount of minutes on his team and went 0-2 with 1 rebound and 1 PF.
That’s not good about Thorne. We need another big in 2011, maybe JUCO that can have an immediate impact. Sounds like Thorne may need some grooming
I don’t know if you can read too much into one game re: Thorne. Would be nice to get another big, a JUCO probably, either way.
Didn’t realize there would be so many players there that I know. I’m kinda surprised how many of the names I recognized.
I was going to post the same thing that we need another big man for next year.
Hard to read much from an All-star game, good or bad. I think most expect that if Thorne is going to contribute his first year, it’ll probably be primarily as part of the team defense and team rebounding, both absent in these sorts of games.
We do need another post body for next year to spell Braswell and Sherrill aside from Thorne. I’d guess a juco is likely. Unless this guy is a star, they aren’t going to have much impact either on the offensive end. Braswell and Sherrill will be the keys for having a threat down low to open things up for the perimeter guys, and they need to show some improvement for that to happen. Hopefully they get some sound coaching this offseason and develop some new moves and consistency.
