Scouts Grade 92
Considering: No schools at this time. Evaluation March, 2010: Felix was considered a major sleeper out west while attending Millenium high school in Goodyear, Arizona during the 2007-2008 season. Since then he has added some much-needed muscle and fits into the mold of former Duke standouts Dahntay Jones and Gerald Henderson-where, coincidently, Felix will be attending. Felix is a high-flying wing-type that excels in transition where he can get to the rim utilizing his bounce and length. His ball handling has improved, but it will need to get better when defenders get into him. Duke has been very perimeter-oriented lately due to a lack of size and Felix will fit well into their system. He’ll be an excellent defender out on the perimeter utilizing his quick hands and lateral quickness and offensively-like the aforementioned Jones and Henderson-he’ll be able to utilize the pump fake and quick 1st step to score in the mid-range area. If his jump shot continues to improve, he may have a chance to play in the NBA someday.
Notes Received a medical redshirt for his first year at Southern Idaho and will have three years of eligibility in college…Committed to Duke in March, 2010…Averaged 14.8 ppg and 4.7 rpg in his sophomore season at CSI…

Per Rivals, he had offers from Duke, Arizona State, Idaho, Kent State, and South Florida. According to a writer for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, he’s looking at the PAC-10 now.

I think we are waiting on SF and other bigs for the 2011 class.
