Bill will be speaking with Judy shortly. He’s also going to ask her about Lutz being mentioned for the Oklahoma job.
Not expecting Judy to do anything other than take the high road with all the Hill/Huggins and Beasley stuff though so don’t get your hopes up for something “juicy.”
Wow… she just came out and said that she thinks the only reason Huggins went after Hill was to get Michael Beasley. I didn’t think she could talk about unsigned recruits.

Now THAT surprises me. What the hell is she doing? It must be a forgone conclusion if the AD herself is calling Huggins out.

Judy said they are in process of getting contract extension done…
then smacked huggy around…can’t believe she mentioned beasley by name!

Actually, she was pretty careful with how she worded certain things. She was pretty vague about the Beasley stuff and was speculation more than assuring. The word “if” was used more than once. Judy wouldn’t say anything out of line…she knows better

She said she thought Hill had done nothing here to warrant the move…except for the beasley connection. She said she feels bad for Bobby cause he WAS friends with Huggy.
Also talked up our other sports for a bit…
She just basically said it was a dirty move by Huggins and that she felt bad for Bobby on a personal level. They are working on contract extensions for both Lutz and Amanda Butler.
You guys are reading way too much into what she said about Beasley. Yeah, she was pretty firm in her comments on Huggins but she didn’t cross the line when it came to Beasley. And certainly didn’t say/do anything that would be in violation with NCAA policy.
I like the idea of Lutz getting a contract extension. It provides stability and recruits like him. Throw in a solid assistant or two and we should be ok.

Who is getting a contract extension???
They are working on contract extensions for both Lutz and Amanda Butler.
That is a great move by Judy. Butler needs to have a big contract so that way if another school is interested the by-out will be a turnoff… Lutz needs to have a buyout that is in the double digit mil range to keep him here. I think if Lutz has a hold of this program for 14+ years, we’ll resemble Duke in a lot of ways.

Good, I think its about time that they take some kind of stand out in public.
Again, its just my opinion, but I think the school could be respected a little bit more if they stopped ALWAYS taking the “high road” in a business that likes stabbing anyone if the back. I’m not advocating at all for Lutz to pull an classless move like Huggins, but the school needs to make their comments public on things like this.
I think if Lutz has a hold of this program for 14+ years, we'll resemble Duke in a lot of ways.
