Alright, than the dude who runs http://www.charlotte49erfootball.com needs to remind everyone what they said they would donate and everyone send the money in. If people were serious than the money would show up. No for ‘fantasy’ about it.
I think alot of that money will not be donated until the school formally announces a football drive. I know I will not give money to the school for football until they are serious. People do not want to donate money for a cause that may never happen. They have to have faith in the leadership, which is something obviously most of us do not have.
Not to mention some of the money people are donating is probably currently being used. I know some of the people attend Wake or Carolina or State football games. When they start donating they may have to stop attending these games and they are not going to do that unless they know there is a plan to put Niners on the field.

Indeed. Also, they need to make it public exactly how much is in the fund (via website, etc.). Like a previous poster said, I’m not sending them a $500 check with “Football fund” written in on the memo line, and hope that someone sticks it in there.
I’ll send the $200 pledge when I have prove it will go to the football fund.

They (ECU) moved from I-AA to I-A sometime in the 70’s or early 80’s, and UNCCH AND UNCR were not too happy about it.
They’re still not happy about. They were also not happy about us going to CUSA. I imagine they feel a little better now.
They would also not be at all thrilled if we tried to eventually become a IA football school.
They (UNC-CH and -R) will use whatever resources they have at their disposal to prevent us from ever getting football. The only thing that could be worse for them is if we somehow (magic?) got invited to join the ACC. hahahahaha!
